What you are trying to perform (at the end ultimately gave up) cannot be done in the American version of Blaster Master. Tank can enter the big door just before landing, but this does not work with Jason due to frame (contact area with solid object). Possible you saw this trick done with the European version, which allows Jason (does not work with the Tank) to jump, press Start, and jump while in midair after pressing Start again to resume normal game play. Funny how memory management can be exploited depending on the changes made for localization. Clipping through doors can, in theory, be performed on the American version, but is much harder to do compared to the Japanese and European version. Put the two mushroom blocks together to go back in the door for 1-2 Toad runs faster and jumps higher holding a throw block

Beezos are possible to ride, but it is very difficult. You kind of have to stutter step walk along with their momentum. That you have to ride one across a huge gap is insane...
