Hi, if you are new here, my name is Ivy and welcome to my virtual diary, called 40s Diaries. I am from the Philippines and is currently navigating my early 40s.

I turned 42 today, four decades, that's how long I've been on this earth. I am taking each day as it comes and I am still figuring things out. When I was younger, I always thought that thigs are gonna go smoothly, but eventually, I have learned to accept the fact that it is not gonna go exactly the way I want them to be and that is okay. I try to forgive myself for the things I can't do or accomplish (~Pero mas madalas talaga tinatamad lang o naduduwag.LOL~). Life is not about ticking boxes anyway. I make choices, good or bad, and I trust them. I have learned so many things about myself in the past years and I look forward to learning a lot more.
I am thankful for family, pets, work, friendships, relationships, and moments. Moments of joy, peace, adventure, and growth.♥
I am over chasing society's definition of success, I am the one who gets to define MY success, big or small. Having to celebrate this day, my 42nd birthday, is one of them.
