Thank you for putting out these awesome railroading and CAD videos. You're truly underrated, and I’d like to express my deepest gratitude for your work. I wanted to thank you for the tremendous impact your CAD course has had on my life and the path it led me on. It was the first course that really worked for me, and without it, I likely would have given up before discovering where this hobby could take me. A few years down the line I now freelance and design miniatures full-time, thanks to the amazing educational videos you’ve created. Once again, thank you for the incredible work you’ve done and the real impact it’s had on so many people’s lives. Keep doing what you're doing, and keep changing the world one N Gauge locomotive at a time. Thank you.

Is there a way to use the 2nd method but "Paste" instead of "Paste-NEW"? I'd like to be able to correct/update the one component file and automatically update all assembly files.

They sure made this difficult! They should at least enable the paste option and then have a dialog telling you about clearing the history...

I like the way you are showing how to deal with things that are not exactly what you wanted. That helps me when I run into the same sort of thing. 25 years of Solid Works buried some deep patterns in how I work.

So, great video and it’s Cinda exactly what I need, HOWEVER: I didn’t understand how I can edit sketches and extrusions etc. of the Component/Body that I made in the other Project that I copied the Component from. Thanks for the answers in advance.

Hi Carl nice easy video to follow. The only way I know to stop Fusion auto looking at the sketch and going to the centre point is Preferences/Design/ and untick the Auto look at sketch. The draw back doing this is that the view of the sketch maybe at an angle and then you have to adjust the model manually using the mouse and keys. It would be great if auto look didn't spin the centre point when selecting the plane for the sketch. Hopefully someone may have the answer, fingers cross.

it would be nice to have a beginner series. May be on a 16t mineral van or/and a box van.

What happened to this series,sir? It has been 6 months

I did this, and it worked, but whenever I try to align it to the main body it flies off to the middle of nowhere. It aligns properly until I select OK in the align window, then it's all of a sudden on the other side of the map.... 😖
