Some genuine feedback I would avoid using any plastics in that heat in the pot. No matter what, they will infuse some chemicals into your bread and it kind of defeats the purpose of baking healthy sourdough bread
I’ll have to look into that, thank you! I usually use unbleached parchment and notice it’s very brittle after baking but sometimes sticks a bit to the bread. Do you bake sourdough? What do you like to use?
@@momreviewssidehustle After testing 44 silicone molds, they found that 23% of them released contaminants into foods or released increasing amounts from repeat uses. Two of them had toxicity levels above legal regulations. Most of them (82%) had chemicals of concern, like endocrine disruptors.
@@momreviewssidehustle hey Tina, yes I do bake sourdough every week. I use a cast iron pot (staubb) and baking parchment which is safe. But I do tend do replace it away once it starts to go brittle after a few uses. Like your channel by the way! I'm from England. Do you have Instagram also.
@@hasan1980hb I usually bake a loaf once a week too. Thanks again for the tip! I’ll have to find other parchment brands, I reuse for cookies and such but after one sourdough loaf it’s very brittle. Thank you! I’m just starting so we’ll see where it goes. I do have Instagram, @tinagardner_ but I’m not too active.
@@momreviewssidehustle Yes, it does tend to get brittle fast due to the initial high temps. Costco do a very large roll for a relatively cheap price here in the UK, it can last you years if you bake once a week. Thanks, I'm not very active too I just find it easier to message etc as youtube algorithm tends to delete comments for no reason! I'll give you a follow. By the way your sourdough looks amazing 🙏
