Yeti Roadie 24 ice retention with Yeti ice and how to get an American made Yeti
In this video I tested a Yeti Roadie 24 hard cooler using a Yeti ice pack. The Yeti ice is supposed to make the ice last longer. Included is an explanation of how I got a Yeti cooler that was American made.

IDK if you still can but when you order send you order number to customer support and say you want one made in the USA. Back when I ordered I think they had two factories in the USA. My 24 is US made. My soft cooler and wheeled cooler are made overseas but i got those off FB marketplace All tumblers and what not are made overseas.

@@abcmon123 it works fine. I don’t really care where it was made. I was just wondering how yours was American made. I guess I missed the part where you explained that.

I always pre cool mine overnight with frozen water bottles, then in the morning pack the yeti 4lb ice at bottom, pack cans, bottles, then ice on top and on top, salad and food in the basket bought extra, last all weekend

How Yeti Ice works is, it has a lower freezing temperature than regular water ice, and can stay colder than freezing if you have given it lots of time to get cold in your freezer at home. So the water ice above it will slowly melt above 32 degrees, then trickle down to the yeti ice, then it gets cold again and re-freezes. That is why there was a big chunk of water ice around the yeti ice. So overall it is an ice supplement.

Jerry's movements are so cool he knocks the mic out of its stand! Watch the new videos from DEVOtional and he's still ripping the air a new hole. DEVO will never die!!

Funny how the bass synth sequence rhythm is so prominent in this song but Gerald never lays a finger on his bass synth, haha. Oh well. Too bad bands weren't allowed to play live instruments on these taped TV shows back then.

Seems it was standard practice for bands to lip-sync their tunes on TV shows like this.

Merv seemed like a nice guy who actually got to know them a little. That's cool. Also amazing that this was basically when the music video was being "invented". Too bad MTV then gave them the middle finger.

This was a great showcase for Devo. In among the Jack Jones and Shecky Greenes of the world, Merv would have bands like Devo and Blondie on every so often. He even did a whole 90-minute show devoted to "new wave" music once... so Merv was a cool guy, IMO.

I've become so accustomed to the (actual) live versions of this track that I keep expecting "the reason that I live like this is all because of YOU, YOU, YOU!"

God, you people don't know who Merv Griffin is. Well, he was a TV host way back when everything didn't suck. People didn't watch a screen nine hours a day. Today is all screwed up. You'll never know what it was like.

Lol, "I do miss the Chinese hats, though." Come on Merv, get with it; they're Chinese ENERGY DOMES! And I agree with @rmhanzel, the quality of the video is perfect for the performance. It makes it seem even more mechanical.

It's delightful how Merv needs to explain the concept of a music video--hard to imagine a time when such a thing would have been necessary ^_^

Even 30+ years later you can honestly say no one ever looked like DEVO. Totally original, left of center look, performance and a great catalog of electronic pop tunes.

abcmon: No apologies necessary -- wherever you found this, it's a real treasure. Thank you so very much for posting it. Given the video quality, it IS hard to tell if lip-synching's going on, etc., but I think it shows how truly amazing they were at that point in their career. Amazing. CCB: I agree. "A bit of a fanny," huh? Now THAT's funny. My buddy and I used to get stoned, turn down the volume on the teevee, and make up lines for him as he was talking. Ours were funnier and better delivered.
