Hello from Hobart. This video encompasses two of my favourite things. Tassie's stunning bush and forests, and "mystery". I recall seeing stories of Bruce's disappearance on the news back when it first happened, and just watching it, I couldn't help but feel something was a bit odd about the whole thing. I am certainly not into conspiracy theories, or saying that anyone had anything to do with it....I am speculating that my thoughts at that time were the same as what you express here. How strange it is to take an older person who suffers dementia, Parkinsons and what else other he had going on....on a walk like that, even though they were very experienced...but clearly he was not up to the task anymore, and then leave him to toilet himself and walk on alone! I remember feeling incredulous at the time. I know I would NEVER do that with anyone in that condition....BUT also, IF he did wander off into that impenetrable scrub, as it clearly is, he surely would not have gotten far without a fall or crying out either in fear of feeling lost, or in pain, and so surely his body, or him alive and well, would have been found fairly soon after the initial search commenced... Surely....right? I know it's easy for those of us sitting and watching the news and making judgments on what we think happened; but this smacks of something not right. I have often thought about Bruce, and wondered why we have not heard anything further about him, and pondered the scenario that what if he wasn't even taken there on that walk??? I know that sounds a bit conspiracy theorist, and I am NOT saying it is a fact or accusing anyone of anything...just trying to find a logical reason for why he was never found there....when really he should have been ...if he was there. So when I stumbled across your video, I was interested to see that someone else out there was asking questions! I stumbled across your vid because I LOVE to watch anything related to our stunning Island, and as I am not as young and fit as I used to be, I cannot make it into the areas that I once did, so it's great to see our wilderness, even if only on my tele....better than nothing. Thanks for posting, and caring about what happened to Bruce. I look forward to hearing more....and seeing more big tree measurements too. Cheers.
