Like George Carlin said, a conspiracy isn't nessisary when like interests converge. They all go to the same schools, the same social clubs, and share the same self interests. Antisocial Personality Disorder and Psychopathy have some crossover however they are not the same thing. Antisocial Personality Disorder is a clinical diagnosis which can be found in the DSM-5 and is defined by behaviours. The name of the disorder stems from the term ‘Sociopath’ from the DSM first edition. Psychopathy by contrast is not in the DSM and as such is not a diagnosis. Psychopathy, incorporates a set of character traits which include narcissism and superficial charm. Unlike ASPD, you cannot be ‘diagnosed’ as a Psychopath. In short not all people with ASPD are Psychopaths, however most Psychopaths fit the criteria for an ASPD diagnosis.

If there's a switch they can turn on and off then they are not a psychopath. Psychopaths can't feel empathy (or feel it at a much lower level than the general population). What he's describing is dissociation, which is something we are all capable of under the right circumstances.
