I started my beginning taalim of Pakhawaj from “Jagannath Jagtap”, who is very well known Pkhawaj player in Gujarat. Then next I went to “Pt.Govind Ram banarasi”, who is AIR artist & son of late “Pt.Mannu Mrudanga Charya”(Banaras). Recently I am taking taalim from the great Pakhawaj maestro Pt.Manik Munde. Who is the most senior disciple of “Pt.Amarnath Misra” (Mahant of sankat mochan temple,Banaras).I am the scholar from Gujarat Rajya Sangeet Natya Academy.

Today on the occasion of International Museum Day, we are sharing with you all a short video of Dedh Sarangi made by our ancestor Mansukh Raghunath along with brief information.
This rare instrument called Dedh Sarangi was precisely crafted in the year 1907 by Shri Mansukh Raghunath for the Baroda Museum to be exhibited for enthusiasts. The impeccable & Intricate Ivory Work on this Instrument is Noteworthy. Four gut strings and sympathetic strings produce a surreal sound that takes one to the dimension above. The body of this instrument was carved out of a sacred Sevan Tree which makes it quite sturdy withstanding the waves of time. This instrument awaits you in the Baroda Museum & Picture Gallery.
