Black Dog Ceramics
Приєднався 28 тра 2022
Hi, I'm Kat! I am a full time potter living in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. I create handmade pottery and decorate my pieces with living plants from the forests around my home. Nature has endless beauty and wet clay captures the fine details of each plant.
If you like my work, thank you! I sell my ceramic creations through my website www.blackdogceramics.ca
My UA-cam channel is new, but I have many plans for more pottery and nature videos 🌿

Coil building a large pot - the entire process
Saying goodbye to a long winter, but keeping the memories of the plants in the clay pot surface. The pot is pressed with branches from the forest harvested in the late winter.

You deserve to be so proud of this work. I haven’t yet seen any other videos but I subscribed just on this one. So inspired to have a go with air clay now as that’s my limit for resources but I can’t wait to watch more when I’m off work ❤ 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your skills and technique with us.
That’s so good 😍
What is the name of that liquid you used in last?
Beautful
Hi there, is there ever an issue with letting the bottom firm up and then adding softer new coils? For instance, do you need to keep the bottom loosely wrapped so that the drying time evens out, or is coil building pretty forgiving in that sense?
😍
