I'm surprised that bag of rubble wasn't heavier than hooks 😂👍
I saw your red two foot level at the DM show. Tempted but I have a similar one I bought in France, two foot boat levels are the future. I think you will miss the view on that job but it would be brutal in the winter there. Ginny wheels are really underrated. Always worth the money, if only to get your tools down at the end of the day. Hope you are enjoying a coffee and a Lardy after today. I saw you chatting with the old bricklayer about a big pointing job. I am around this winter but not on Mondays or Tuesday and I can only point the ground level, you know the rest of this joke by now.
@@harveysmith100 😂👍

@@harveysmith100 thanks Harv 👍
I have been offered a repoint in wales bit far to go but the price is pretty good .ob1 said f that😂 . We have our first subscriber job on Monday in bexhill
@@Theoldbricklayer that’s excellent, how big is Wales repoint? We may be able to help
@@althetrowel not that big al only 30 square meters I declined. I’m pricing a couple big repoints one in bexhill and 1 in Eastbourne 400 square meters and 190 meters if I get any I will give you a shout …. Far to big for me to handle on my own
@@Theoldbricklayer definitely 👍
My favorite
That holds that one 😂Simple ain't it nuss
You'll be pleased to see the back of that job. Especially with winter coming.
Can you replace the lime with cement if it’s a cement build house?
👍
You can't blame Labour for this mess. The Tories ruined this country and left us bankrupt. Rishi knew this

Some strain on the arms buddy. Them builder buddy buckets ask your man if we are getting some bright colours that brown colour pretty awful. Very good buckets 🪣 tho
@@lmilne4859 😂👍ok but they are red
@@althetrowel A brown/red lol. 🤢 they are good tho. Just an invincible bucket with a wire round top. Sure can get some colour about the buckets 🪣 😆😆 surprised bon haven’t jumped on it with a blue and bon printed on side. lol
Evening Al, I don’t like to get too political either, but hopefully things will start picking up following the budget end of October once we all know a bit more. Looks like a nice smoke I’ve often looked at those camancho’s - so much choice out there… Be lucky with work and weather.
Hope you are right 👍
I’ve had one of those before there a nice smoke , enjoy rest of your weekend al, have a good week I’ll be looking forward for your videos during the week pug up mate 👍👍👍🧱🧱🧱
@@jackranger5476 thanks Jack all the best mate
Only just recently found your channel been watching for a couple of weeks al your a fucking legend pugup
@@LiasBotton 😂thank you
Just to add a positive. The bank of England's next meeting is on the 7th of November. He hinted a few weeks ago that interest rates would fall faster than first predicted. Looks like a quarter of a percent in November and another quarter in December. Inflation has come right down so interests rates will continue to fall. Those with mortgages can't afford them and those without, can't get one. Houses will start selling when the rates come down. That has a knock on for all trowels.
@@harveysmith100 👍
Yep the weather changes so quick nowadays. Enjoy your smoke Al 👍 . I know what you mean ive been self-employed for 37 years its hard sometimes keeping customers happy
@@paulcollin1398 👍😁
I can’t believe you just posted this video… I was having a nose in the humidor literally 5 mins ago and come across 3 Camachos at the bottom, yellow blue and red.. I’ve never fancied lighting the red one… hopefully this video will change my mind
Go for it Neil … very nice
@@althetrowel yea I’ll give it a try mate. I’m going up to the Cotswolds on Tuesday so going to choose a little selection to take with me. Fully agree with what you said about it not being easy when you’re self employed.. I think things are going to get harder too.
@@neiljeremiah5639 yeah tough times, got to keep going 👍
@@althetrowel enjoy the rest of your weekend 👍
Bit late watching this Al. It's a rainy Sunday so stuck indoors. Weather looks better from Tuesday this week.
@@harveysmith100 yeah Monday looks like today! Have a nice week Harv
I was worried about those cantied balconies on the vid you pointed out the poor quality mortar and lack of ties. I know there's a cold bridging/moisture ingress problem, but if you need to cantilever balconies they should be across both skins. I'd prefer to have a slightly obscured view and have the balconies on pillars from the ground up if it was my gaff.
@@baldyslapnut. totally agree

Good evening Al Due to the condition of the building would it not make sense to knock down & rebuild rather than tarting up the walls. Make I ask how far a field do you travel for work for future reference?

Battle Axe AL! Fine bit of kit. Sorry you have hobbits holding the lintels, even if he’s a Sam Gamgee. “Did you watch it” , “no” says Sam , nice boots , oh you don’t have any. I’m sorry AL I’m all the way in NYC otherwise I’d stop by and lend a hand. As they say down south here “bless his heart” . Pug up hope the neck and back are feeling better.
@@williamharrison5277 😂😂 thanks for that . I hope all is well in NY Bill. Best we wishes to you and all of the US 🇺🇸👍
What’s the Makita cutter that you use mate, is it ment for masonry. Looks like it works a treat. Been doing some big cut gables lately and one of these would have made life easier.
@@stuarthill4796 not meant for masonry, but does work well 2 18v batteries
Well done for today Al. Lot's would shy off of work. It's obvious the pain in the neck is still there.

Good talk , the younger lads definitely need to be all ears. Alas like my own life , lessons have to be mostly learned through experience and not just by a telling. What your putting forth to them is classic though. Good work ethic starts with self preservation and self respect. How could one possible do the correct job without the correct gear. Stay ready never have to get ready. Don’t get me wrong I’m not a duck but for the right foreman we get it done. I’m also union so the rules are a bit different. Solid talk and love the horses. Pug up!

Alright Al, I’ve started having a cup of tea with a lardy of late. The Romeo no.3 in the tube really smells like a cuppa Rosey Lea. Nice. I used to do rendering the scratched render stuff, monocouche - if the rain hit that - boy what a mess!! Will have a go of the rodrigeth! Haven’t got a humidor but had a lovely Por larranaga recently I practically had to drill it out it was so plugged. Shame as it’s a beautiful cigar.
@@PAnselmo never had a por larranaga , I love a Romeo no 3 . A y sealed container will make a humidor . Tupperware for example. Thanks for commenting
The petit corona Por larranaga is nice might need a spell in your humidor first they can be a tight draw, but lovely. Thanks for the tip on the tuppa👍
