The service was just as Sonny Boy would have wanted it to be. He was smiling ear to ear while his family and friend gathered. The best part of all when his 3 grand daughters sang Amazing Grace. Rest In Peace Sonny Boy we love you and will miss you until that day comes and we see you again at Heavens Gates!

I droned the lighthouse almost 1 year after you. Looks like you flew from far enough away they were not able to chase you off like they did me lol.
why did they chase you off?
they do not want any drones over the lighthouse property. They've had enough issues with them they've actually put a permanent sign up in the park that says "no drone zone". I was over in the boat ramp parking lot (across the street off their property) and they actually figured out where I was and walked over. The girl was nice about it so I just apologized and landed.
JxBx80 That's crazy. They don't have the right to chase you off though. As a hobbyist it's ok to fly as long as you aren't directly over people and are following the laws set out by the FAA.
I get the safety issues. The law says you can't take off or land from their property, they don't own the airspace, nobody does. The FAA does regulate it though. I hope you got good footage before you landed. I would have kept flying personally.

Excellent footage! Can I ask what kind of drone you were using? Also, when you orbit the lighthouse was that all manual control or did you use one of the drone's features? Finally, did you need to get permission to hover directly over the lighthouse? That was probably the coolest shot in the video!
hi from France! beginner in the world of Drones, i saw on your video that you are filming under a bright sun, with a tablet and without any sunshield. is it an ipad mini 4 ? does the screen is still viewbale with this sun ? appreciate your reply in my quest of finding the perfect tablet for my P4. Thank You !
+gribrouen I'm using the iPad Air 2. I believe the Air 2 and the mini 4 have the same screen. A sunshield would definitely help, but it is still viewable enough to fly, even in bright sun.

Dude just FYI don't get caught flying like u are in the areas you are in your videos looking at some build fines and also posting them if prolly not so smart
True, but depending whether he got permission or the time it can be granted. He could either ask the city and the FAA or there are holidays when filming/flying aircraft such as drones are permitted because planes are not flying

+Austin9790 Oh No......gave that up the minute it became over 50 boats. I'm not into any thing that large. Too many boats. A Trout tournament may peek my interest. I hope to get any charters out between the crowds.
