Love that closing shot of KITT cruising along the highway as 'executive producer Glen A. Larson' (RIP) appears on screen. Pity they stop showing later in Season 1 even though I do also love the other closing shot of KITT in the desert driving towards camera which the end credits roll over.

Thanks to this show, being a loner is cool. I got a lot of life inspiration from this show.

Reminds me of when I drove from Los Angeles, CA to Vancouver,BC Canada in 2001 by myself. I thought about all kinds of things during that 22 Hour drive!

A show that inspired people from it's theme to functions with KITT that were once science-fiction that are now science fact or on the verge of becoming reality. I still believe in that theme - One man CAN make a difference.

C button and Super Pursuit Mode were cool, like them both.

yeah, but you gotta remember this movie came out in the 90s....and this was how they predicted the future in 2000.. I mean I saw this when I was a kid and thought it was cool, especially the car this it was all aerodynamically shaped..but now its 2008 and nothing now in this day in age resembles anything in the movie...so of course if we compare our present to the one in the movie, its gonna look cheesey...

I know what you mean also. I kinda liked KITT's new look, but his old look was far superior...super pursuit mode, turbo boost...those qualities made the show fun.

great theme song. The movie was very hit and miss for me. I did like the new KITT car though. Killing off characters was stupid though. I wonder how this film fits in continuity now that the new movie/tv pilot came out.

Still my favorite scene from any KR series.

If i had not seen the original Knight Rider i would have liked this, but after seeing the series this could have been soooo much better than it was, let's hope the new movie they are making lives up to the origional series and leaves this movie in the scrapheap where it belongs.

I liked the outro for the first season it was a pretty cool ending for each episode at that time.

The Banshee is NOT FWD. The Doge Stealth is. Pontiac Banshee concept came out in 88. Knight Rider 2000 came out in 1991.

This was supposed to be the pilot for a series. It actually got pretty good ratings, but for some reason they didn't continue it.

I was counting years from when the series first aired on TV from 1982 to 07,And 25 years is what i meant to say i had counted wrong,It was sometime around 82 when this kind of pilot aired for the series.

In the year 2000, cars will all be electric...computers will decide our diets for us...we will all have wrist-radio watches that monitor our health...we will all wear government-issued jumpsuits...all meat will be synthetic...etc, etc...

but the fact that they were fords were just out of the question...

well if you remember to the ford taurus police cars on robocop those actually did not look bad as cop cars...

well low budget film cheap car,it just works out for the best.what may have been usefull was perhaps the a four door coupe like the dodge intrepid or neon if they wanted low budget besides the berettas are FWD so almost usless but i do know about the intrepid and the impala interceptors they are FWD...
