Nice hunting man bless up
@@jahunterplus2809 thanks a lot! Same to you.
Beautiful. Grouse taste delicious, with bacon.
@@useryggfdcc absolutely! We cut the partridge in pieces similar to nuggets and wrap each piece with bacon, we cook those with sweet baby rays original…very delicious indeed! Cheers.
what shotgun you using?
@@johnsterne178 i’m using a Beretta A400 xtreme plus in 12 gauge, and using a modified choke.
How many feet away do you think he was ?
@@matthewbrennan7967 i’m not sure but it was probably my limit to distance shooting. I’ve shot birds on the wing a fair distance also, at least in this scenario the bird was somewhat easier to humanely dispatch. Thanks for watching.
Good hunting. What kind of shells.?
@@chrisbeerstecher9608 thanks…I’m using Kent #4 2 3/4” 1 1/4oz ultimate fast lead with diamond shot.
Using a modified choke
Nice out doors
Nice hunting we have snow here in ab bless up
@@jahunterplus2809 thanks! Oh it’s coming here soon also
I wish I could be up there too. Fun times indeed!
Still no snow?
@@jimdent351 one small snow fall a couple weeks or so ago and doesn’t seem to be in the next 9 day forecast but things can always change.
Que calibre y cuántos tiros en la recamara le caben
@@EleuterioGomez-c6k thanks for your question. I’m assuming you are asking about the semi automatic shotguns, they can hold 3+1 however by law I can only have 2+1 and require a plug.
Nice video and nice hunting
The grouse stalker
Nice hunting and fun video
Hi. I like your hunting. Could you comment on the size and charge of your shells? There’s definitely a relationship between the shot shell and choke
@@chrisbeerstecher9608 thanks Chris, much appreciated. Yes I’d be happy to share. On my over barrel I’ve got an improved cylinder choke and for the under barrel I’ve got an improved modified choke. In the video I mentioned having a modified choke but I was incorrect. As for my shells im using federal 2 3/4 inch, 1 ounce, and they are number 5.
I love that Silver Pigeon 3. The wood and engravings are stunning. I regret selling my 682 Gold E. It had some really pretty wood on it too.
@@jimdent351 thanks…yes it stood out at the shop, I just had to get it. No doubt that’s a nice firearm.
Hello from the UK. I Absolutely love the 28 bore. ❤
@@stevenlord782 Good day UK! I can definitely relate. Thanks for watching!
I think you gut shot that sapling too. 😆 Nice catch! 👍
Nice hunting and that shotgun is really nice I just got a deer today bless
@@jahunterplus2809 thank you and congrats on your deer that’s awesome!
The grouse stalker!
Good exercise healthy air beautifull location
@@chrisbeerstecher9608 was a gorgeous morning! Thanks
Nice video bless up
Take me hunting 😂
That third one will make a nice meaty stew. Congrats!
@@jimdent351 absolutely! We’re planning on making a grouse cooking video this weekend.
What do you prefer, is it it he 686 or the 725? I've considered some of the inexpensive Turkish guns and for the most part I don't care much for them with the the exception of the CZ. Do you have any experience with the CZ Drake (O/U) or the CZ Bobwhite (SxS). Thanks!
@@jimdent351 I haven’t had the opportunity to try those shotguns yet. I like to watch firearm reviews so I’ll probably look those up. I had good luck with the 686 clay shooting but seems to shoot a bit high when I hunt. It’s tough to have a favourite but I do enjoy the 28 gauges, easy to carry upland and enough load for birds without issue. Thanks!
I've had the Browning 525 28 bore, a great gun but in my opinion to heavy for a 28. I now use a beretta 691, it weighs 6lb 2oz. This I consider to be the ideal 28 bore weight.
@ I just had a look at the 691 and it’s definitely a beautiful o/u. Weight does make a difference when uplanding without a sling for a long period of time. I much prefer to use the 28 bores over 12 for that reason. I do like to use my beretta semi automatic 12 bore as well since im not worried about scratching it bush whacking.
@@jimdent351 both look like nice options, would be difficult to choose just one. Cheers
Ha-ha. I told you the other day I was looking at a 686 in 28 ga so you've responded by giving a video using a 28 ga. Thanks!
That is a nice shotgun and nice hunting
@@jahunterplus2809 thank you sir!
Nice hunting I am thinking about going out tomorrow and try and get some things for sharing bless up
@@jahunterplus2809 oh that sounds good, hope you have some nice weather tomorrow to have your outing. We went out this morning, got 3 ruffed grouse. Was a beautiful morning for a nature walk/hunt.
Thank you for making every effort to find that wounded bird. I believe there are a lot of people who would have just not taken the effort. Having said that I really like the Beretta O/U's. I've had 2 once that I regret letting go, One was a 682 Gold E and the other was a 686 Black. Lately I've been pondering over a 686 Silver Pigeon 1 in 28 ga. for grouse. Currently I'm using an A5 12 ga. and any one of my .22 lr's.
@@jimdent351 I even ended up going back in on my way out of the trail, did a U in the bush and came out empty. I hear ya, those are some nice shotguns. I own two 28 gauges, they are a perfect gauge for bird hunting. A bit lighter to upland with. Cheers
Nice shotguns
Thank you! We do enjoy watching your videos as well. Cheers
I took my 10 yo with me to Cartier in Sept when I went to hunt for birds. He had the time of his life. Now I caught him looking at Daisy BB guns the other day at SAIL. He's going to be a hunter. 👍
@@jimdent351 that’s great to hear! My son also started around that age, he’s 14 now and got his PAL minor’s license last year. Keeps them responsible and out of trouble. :)
@@EricMartin-ko1eb Awesome stuff. He can't wait until he becomes an apprentice. In fact, on our way South we saw a roadkill bull about 10 minutes North of the French River. I stopped to make sure everyone was okay but the vehicles there were not the one involved but rather they were dressing it out to take home. He got to touch the moose and is intrigued now with moose hunting
@ it’s great that you stopped for the accident to try and help out, my partner and daughter hit a moose here in french river not far from the turn off last winter and they had people stop as well. Im glad you were there to check on the folks even if it was during clean up. Sounds like a Daisy will be a good start to his apprenticeship. That’s great!
Take me hunting
With this lunatic? Put the bird in a bread bag..;wtf?
Nice video
Nices grouse hunt 🎉❤👍
What gauge, shells and choke are you using?

Sounds like you’re a little out of shape lol. Jk. Haven’t been up to the French river since I was a kid. Did a week canoe trip on it. Gj on the vid. Nice to see you grab your shells also

Nice Enfield’s , I , myself , have one from WWI . It is dated 1916 , one from WWII , dated 1943 , a Jungle Carbine dated 1947 plus a Ishapore in 7.62 x51 NATO , dated 1967. I would like to get a wire wrapped one that was use for grenades & one from 1902
Sounds like a nice collection.
