Birth of an Accidental Hipster- A Monkees montage

A video montage to one of the top songs from the Monkees' final studio album Good Times. I don't own the rights to the video or audio. Assembled just for a creative exercise and fun.
Moonfire - Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart
Переглядів 1,5 тис.2 роки тому
Another "squint and it kind of looks ok" video montage this time featuring supergroup "Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart" an 1975-1976 offshoot of the Monkees. This video is inspired by the terrific liner notes from 7A's excellent recent reissue of the band's only two albums (look them up!) I was not aware of the Moonfire ranch until the liner notes... Enjoy. All for fun.
Bye Bye Baby Bye Bye - The Monkees in 1969 (video montage)
Переглядів 30 тис.2 роки тому
A mostly fantastical look at the Monkees tv appearances in 1969. Editor's note: The Monkees never appeared on Playboy After Dark or at Woodstock. And Bye Bye Baby Bye Bye was never on American Bandstand. Enjoy the short ride anyway,
Carlisle Wheeling - The Monkees (A video montage)
Переглядів 1,2 тис.2 роки тому
A video montage to the Michael Nesmith-penned "Carlisle Wheeling." You may have to squint to make it seem like Michael is lip syncing to his wonderful song. If you like this video and others on this channel, please share them up! Thanks
MGBGT - The Monkees (a video montage)
Переглядів 3,6 тис.2 роки тому
Peter Tork's "MGBGT" was one of the new songs performed by The Monkees during their massively successful 20th Anniversary Reunion Tour. If you enjoy this video interpretation, share it up! And share any of the others in the series on this channel. More to come... and thanks for watching. All made for fun and entertainment.
Kicks - The Monkees (a video montage)

One of the monkees newest recordings in the 1980's. There was no official video so this will have to suffice! All made for fun and entertainment.

YOU THOUGHT YOU FOUND AN ANSWER ON THAT MAGIC CARPET RIDE LAST NIGHT...
I am privieged to have grown up with Mark & Lawrie, and sung with them in a little musical studies group at school with them and our friend Nick.❤
These girls are so awesome - love you both!
I never heard this thing before .
This wasent no 1, anywhere i never heard of it
I have never heard this before.
I feel personally attacked here. Love it
Ahh wonderful times, when you look back 'of course life wasn't innocent ,just my era, our era of those days music movies festivals, pop stars, film stars etc just wonderful
Encantadores, talentosos, fantasticos, i love ❤ the monkees ❤ 1:22
Song not Cool. Video's Coolsville.
A good cover!
Even though I was born in 1967, I can kinda remember seeing The Monkees reruns on TV. I really liked them. Micky Dolenz’s curly hair is All That!!! He looks soooo handsome with the curly fro and sideburns ❤❤❤❤❤❤!
Yes, the reruns were very popular at that time. I was born in 1965. I watched the reruns as a kid, in the 1970s
Yesterday was the first time I had ever heard this lovely song. It’s settled into my heart like a loved one.
Just discovered this track and I can’t get enough, magical. Loved the Monkies, Michael Nesmith was my favourite, as a kid my mum knitted me Wolley hat just like Mikes, l wore it 24/7.
I was never a big fan of the Monkees as they were simple little songs, but this is deep
Very nicely done! ❤
Very nice!
It's good; Mike sounded great, but it wasn't very Monkee-ish. Love you always, Davy, Mike, Peter and Micky.
Love the montage. I actually have a copy of the first print of Micky's. He was having an art exhibition before their concert in Cleveland at the Nautica stage and he bought it for me as a surprise birthday gift. It still hangs over our fireplace mantel. Thanks for bringing back some great memories.
Keeping kids from the 80s off drugs
I really like this 80s themed video
I love the artwork and artist included in the video. One of my favorite monkees tunes. They did various genres. Very interesting group. Every monkee person is so different from each other.
Another freaking amazing tune by Papa Nez!!!! I am absolutely mesmerized.......This is possibly the band's most Beatle-like song, and it drips with psychedelic overtones!! RIP MY BELOVED DAVY, MICHAEL AND PETER!!!
They should've tried out different musical instruments such as the French horn, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, clavichord, bassoon, pan flute, oboe, or even the harp. It's understandable that there's no variety of musical instruments they've tried.
wow awesome dude....what a tune
Very good.
Peter had left the Monkees sometime in 1968, so he did not contribute to this song.
👍👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love this song ! Rest in peace Mike !
❤Love this so much!
Not a bad rendition/Micky as always sings the hell out of it.
Nice
All of these videos are awesome!
Their last hurrah
What happened to Peter Tork? He was an integral part of The Monkees
Tork left The Monkees at the end of 1968. They were a trio in 1969 and only a duo in 1970 after Nesmith quit. Peter Tork did not return to the group until the 1986 reunion tour.
Thank you for doing this ❤ as a true Monkees fan this is just perfect!
Very Nice!!!!
So cool! A great montage that really took me back! Can't help missing Peter, though. Thanks for posting!
It's funny because every time you see a musical instrument. In David Jones's hands, you know, hes not playing It. The only musical instruments he could play back then was the tambourine and the moroccans which, by the way, anyone can play
Actually, he could play drums. Davy Jones should have been the drummer in The Monkees but because he was short the producers didn't want him hidden behind a drum kit. So they made Micky Dolenz the drummer, which is ironic because Dolenz was a good guitar player. Davy Jones could also play a bit of guitar, but the other three were better guitarists so Jones didn't play guitar much on Monkees recordings until the Justus album of 1996.
Davy also played bass live, as well as on the Glenn Campbell appearance.
He played guitar later on
@@kithale316 and thank God for that because if he was part of a musical group and 30 years later he was still playing the maracas he would have been laughed off the stage
Great song.
This video just gave me inspiration to make a great job in my MGB GT restoration project Many thanks
Peter Tork played banjo on this version, which was a rarity during their self-produced sessions to have two group members actually playing on the same track!!!
I love the energy of this song. Good video!
Wow! I never saw this before. This was terrific!
Well done to whoever put this together…
This was really nice 😊! I quite enjoyed it. Thank you 😊👍 for posting this. 4/9/23.

I love Micky Dolenz!!!!
