Catching the biggest crappie in the state of Pennsylvania! Crappie fishing is my favorite and can be tough in my neck of the woods but I have been lucky to get on some of the biggest crappies you will find in PA. The state is by no means known as crappie fishery, however there are a few lakes in the state that can support truly GIANT slabs. Watch along as we hunt them down!

Late Summer Crappie Fishing - The bite is slow..... #acccrappiestix
The crappie bite is really slow. I assume this is the product of a few bad spawn years and lack of habitat for these fish. It surely is not a forage issue. There are more shad in this lake than the fish can eat! We are not finding big fish and its hard just to get bites in general. I did found a couple decent crappie and a few bass

The heat and lack of rain has the crappie bite really slow. We are not finding big fish and its hard just to get bites in general. 47" Musky caught while bass fishing - No net 😱 (Video contains strong language)

We went out bass and crappie fishing and hooked into a beast of a Musky - 46-48" 30 lbs. After a few minutes of recovery at the side of the boat the beast swam back down. Summer is really not ideal for cathcing muskies and to make it known we were not targeting them! Thanks to the kayak fisherman who tried to help us out! While the net was no big enough, we appreciated the company!!

The crappie bite has been really slow since the spring. I caught a few decent fish but no monsters...Those big fish seem to be impossible to find right now. I did see a ton of small fish, most likely lasts years spawn which is encouraging for the future. Crappie action has all but shut down in the last few weeks, so for this video we went for bass. We caught a few decent bass off video but landed som welcomed bonus fish!!! I caught a monster PA Wiper & Steve puts a Muskie in the boat! Steve managed to land this 42" Muskie on a bass rod and 12lb fluorocarbon! In the dog days of summer it's hard to beat live bait. So when are you going to be on my catfishing live stream? 🤣 Big bullheads and some nice crappie! After the musky incident I thought there would be a big net on the boat at all times.

Where do you tend to fish? I hit Cross Creek, Pymatuning, and Lake Arther (Miraine state park)
@@thatoneguy7684 I’m in eastern Pennsylvania so pretty much any lake from the Maryland border to NY border
Don't hold crappie by the lips, they have the weakest lips and jaws of oretty much any fish
@@jacobb7608 I wouldn’t recommend holding a fish this size by the mouth but the rest are totally fine. There jaws are no weaker than a bass when compared in body size and handling a fish by the body is not better. You ruin the slime coat which for some fish can give them fungus or infection. Either way this one was coming home with us so didn’t much matter
There's a little honey hole I got here in Georgia and I catch them on chartreuse and white 3/8 Oz spinnerbaits with two Silver Willow Leaf blades!! You can hold them up in front of a license plate off of a vehicle and barely see the license plate!! I stumbled on them while bass fishing one day. The big slabs will hardly ever hit a jig they love those big spinnerbaits though
