You don't get it. Positive curvature implies a closed universe. The accelerated expansion is NOT geometric in origin, it is due to a scalar field making a negative effective pressure. A closed universe means that a singularity lies in our future. The cosmological constant caused by the negative pressure just means that that singularity is receding from us faster than light. Also, the scalar field adds to the positive curvature.

So why doesn't the 'e' and 'm' of other photons and of matter basically tear apart a photon going across the vast universe?
