The Bible speaks extensively about the poor, emphasizing God’s concern for them, the responsibility of believers to help them, and the blessings associated with generosity. Jesus also mentioned in Luke 12:15 “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” I just did a research on God's perspective concerning the poor and found out that the message preached by pastor Korede is misleading and deeply rooted with prosperity. The Lord Christ wouldn't preach such a message, this man has no compassion for the poor!😢. This is so disheartening! It's an eye opener to the body of Christ! Revelation 3:17-18 “Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.” The Lord profoundly spoke these words: Luke 14:13-14 - “But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.” Jesus' Teachings on the Poor Matthew 5:3 - “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Luke 6:20 - “And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:21 - “Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.” The Early Church's Care for the Poor Acts 2:44-45 - “And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.” Galatians 2:10 - “Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.”

When a Christian lacks money is not a sign of a curse. Apostle Paul once made tent to support his ministry. There was a time I fell into debt, immediately after my marriage, it lasted close to 2yrs, I had to stay within God's possible because the pressure was too high, wife was pregnant, house rent was due, I had just 1 mattress, shop rent was due. And all happened at once. This was when I heard the voice of God, he spoke 2ice about my fiance by this time, my strength was very small, had to tell my wife what God said . God stuck out poverty in a single breakthrough. Glory to God forever.

If God is gifted than the pastor, it means that somebody is greater than God, because God receiving gifts simply put God in a position of a receiver. “The lesser is blessed by the greater” is a phrase from the Bible, Hebrews 7:7. It means that someone of lesser status receives benefits from someone of greater status. God receiving gifts means that somebody is greater than Him. God is the giver of all good gifts. The question is there something that anyone can give God that God wasn't the first to give out the gift it's a simple English! the pastor simply means that he is gifted by God God can't be gifted, He possessed all things

I wanted to fully agree with Dr Abel Damina until he dishonored Bishop David Oyedepo. What he said though at the start was correct

Scriptures recorded that they have come to cause controversies and cause men stumble from the faith

This is the kind of messages genuine fathers of faith and Christain Association of Nigeria CAN needed speak against, debunk and query and call the preacher to order or even discipline with a strong hand.

It has now become a culture to use deceptive headlines to sell your videos. May God have mercy upon you.
