I was fortunate enough to see this beautiful lady perform live at the "Charles" hotel in Cambridge, MA some years ago. This was my introduction to "Brazilian Jazz". I had a chance to meet her after the show to thank her for a wonderful show. I also ran into her once again at the "Boston Globe Jazz Fest" a year or so later (she wasn't performing). Both times meeting this lady, she had this way of making you feel as though you were old friends. Just the nicest person you'd ever want to meet. Truly a classy lady. GB

I have to admit that I don't understand a word she's saying (and I didn't when I seen her live some 27+ years ago), but I love her voice and the musicians are on point. Yes, one beautiful voice, and she's an extremely nice person.

I love the singing voice and the music.
It is impossible to stereotype Brazil. I've always associated it with Niemeyer and Brasilia, with Jobim and Gilberto (Bossa Nova), Ivan Lins, Mario Adnet and other wonderful musicians. But of late there is Bolsonaro (a very unpopular figure with everyone who cares about our existential planetary crisis).
