I scored a trade in vz wagon, exec in the same color as yours too for $1500, 150k on the clock, honestly it’s great to drive and great on fuel. I’m an ex Holden mechanic and the alloytec gets a bad rap, but mainly because people don’t know how to look after them or just didnt. It’s really not a bad motor. 👍🏼

Bought one of these for my kids and it's gotta be the most forgiving kids quad you can buy. Very little vibration, nice and smooth, suspension is soft and will eat up anything. You can turn this thing sharp at full speed and it will not tip over, very confidence inspiring for the kids. Don't ram it through puddles then park it right away or the drum brakes will seize. A little tap with a hammer solves this though, no big deal.

Hi I left a comment on another one of your posts regarding where to get information about VZ. he has to do brakes ASAP and tie rod knuckle boot things to get through rego. How do you know what size rotors and pads to buy? Is there good brands such as pedders or repco ? Is there a workshop manual or somewhere else that tells you about parts for each varient of VZ? thanks. I like your get in there and do it approach. My son's first car and he needs to learn and save $$$.

Thanks for info. I have warning with fuel guage being low which my car is and had service light been on for awhile as it is due for oil change. Anyone needs to change ecu find someone that sells second hand ecu. You may have to get a body control so it can read each other. I already got one ecu before. Sad it looks like i have to get another.

I fixed one for someone - easy fix was to start it with a bypass button on the starter relay … Gives low fuel , gearbox fault and something else .. wire up with a fuse- button inside car - battery power - fuse - straight to 86 terminal on starter relay Start .. with button switch off Start with key - all good .. Saved a lot of money .. Anyone can try this . It’s not a repair but it works fine . I think the ecu is faulty and the can bus module - no parts available for these cars .. 👀 so… Just do this . Saved $2000 k about 😅 Cheers .

my dad brought one with 165xxx and she's dead to to the world. she sounds like she just wants to start but never fires up. plugs and coils seem fine, and we did put some fuel into the intake chamber to try to get it to at least fire but still doesn't want to even idle for a second all am getting is service car any ideas anyone??

great vid just did mine and discs replaced with vmax slotted not much dearer than standard discs protex blue pads and ceramasil greased the pins and anti rattle clips where pads slide,you deserve an rattle gun for after loosening the wheel nuts.

Weve had our 2021 for a little over a year... it seems to take a ridiculous amount of time to warm up before my daughter can hit the gas n start riding without it stalling... almost likes it's choking or too much gas...If it sits idling warming up for like 20 minutes then you can ride n it's ok....Anyone else have this issue?

So to swap out the rotor all it is is just removing 2 bolts from behind, pop off the rotor, put on the new one, replace the bolts and tighten with some locktite??? Same deal front and rear??

Just purchased my Yamaha raptor 90 for the little one and had a couple dramas with it , was turning off while I was riding on the first day I purchased it and thought maybe the fuel they put in it was pretty shit so I changed the fuel and realized there was metal shavings in fuel tank . Stuck a magnet in and took out a bit of crap and called the place where I purchased it . They picked it up couple days later and cleaned it all out and got it running again . The next day I tried to start it she turned on for a few minutes and turned off again as soon as I jumped on it . Couldn't get it to start again . What you guys reckon . She kicks just not starting . (No issues with battery )

Is that the correct point to jack ? I am replacing the suspension today and need to get some jack stands under there but my vz is fully slammed so finding a spot to jack from is proving kind of difficult

What you want to short out is 87 & 30, not 85,..................that's why it doesn't work!!!!!

You can only start these things with a bent paper clip for so long, as the ECU is about to die & needs replacing. You'll need your 4 digit security code & have this done by a service agent with a G Scan or Tech2 scan tool. This time, UA-cam can only help you so much!

Cheers for the video, I have a 2005 VZ SSZ Crewman with a LS1 5.7L in it . same thing happened only mine cranks over & fires but shuts down straight away. I'm planning on sending mine away to be repaired can you tell me the compant it was sent to, Was it Injectronics in Melbourne . as I said she cranks over but wont keep running, no engine light on dash & have lost all my gauge cluster & has a very low fuel alarm but I know tank is full, fuel pump is working & has 350kpa or 50 psi at rail. Holden has a lot to answer for, this is a shit idea. wished I'd known about the starter relay trick, as it cost me $411 to get it tilt trayed to the local Tumut Toyota depot then another $880 back to Canberra where she still sits. Been doing a lot of research just like you. Again appreciate your video. I do love my crewman & I'd like to see her live again.

Do you reckon an advertised 2" spacer kit will do that? Bit worried some manufacturers may be misleading with what they say.
