Interesting how one person can do such a great job, without having to have 5 helpers like most contractors in South Africa. I love the transformation!

Keiko was rescued from living in poor conditions in Mexico thanks to Free Willy. Keiko was in human care for the last year and 4 months of his life in Norway in a closed bay where he could still go out with his trainers on their boat and sometimes come and go as he pleased. He had plenty of space, human contact from his trainers, food, and people were still allowed to come watch him from a distance. Based on the symptoms, he died of Pneumonia and was in the company of his trainers and vet. Keiko did not become immortal by living in the ocean. He lived a much better life compared to the other captive orcas who lived in stadiums doing circus shows until the day they died with no retirement or memorial to remember them after they made billions for the corporations that owned them. Keiko is the only captive orca to have a memorial. From 1996 to 2003, when Keiko was rescued, rehabilitated, released and died, 22 captive orcas died in the circus with 9 stillbirth/miscarriages and all but 1 were younger than Keiko. Keiko also successfully foraged on his 1,000-mile journey from Iceland to Norway and dived deeper than ever to 72 meters or 236 feet. Keiko liked going out on open ocean walks and left a huge legacy (the training that was used on him was used with Springer the orca and dolphins Tom and Misha who were all successfully released, starting the research on the wild whales in Iceland and today we have 1000+ IDed, exposing the billion dollar zoo/circus industry, the time depth recorders, and the experience gained from the seapen will help in creating the sea sanctuaries. He had 5 years of living in the ocean in 2 large bays in Iceland and Norway.

It's funny that when Tilikum died at 35 and Lolita at 57, you say that they lived half the life span of wild killer whales. But when the released Keiko dies at 27, you quickly change the rhetoric, saying that the ocean did not make him immortal. Keiko's allowance ran out of money raised, so he was released. Then he was fed only by volunteers, and naturally he could not communicate with trainers in the open ocean. He didn't understand what was going on at all.

No killer whale has ever brought its owners even more than one or two million a year. Billions are an obvious blatant lie, this is the budget of entire states.

@@ibrahimsultanov7355 Keiko was still in human care with his trainers still taking care of him giving him food, the human contact and taking him out for walks the last year and 4 months of his life in Norway. Most captive orcas die in their teens, 22 orcas died with 9 miscarriages from 1996-2003 when Keiko was rescued, rehabbed, released and died and all but 1 were younger than Keiko. Orcas are in captivity to do circus shows to make millions and to keep people dumb and distracted from the real problems of the world that's why stadiums were created, not to mention these circuses were mixing Southern Resident, Northern resident, biggs Transients, Argentina and Icelandic orcas creating their own species, so if the wild populations go extinct they can't release them to help the wild populations. They never taught us at the circus about the killing and capturing of whales and dolphins in Taiji Japan, Iki Island Japan, the Solomon Islands, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Antartica and Norway.

@@ibrahimsultanov7355 No, it saved him from dying in Mexico where he was living in poor conditions and he got rescued then shipped to Oregon where he gained 2000 pounds and got stronger, then got to be the only captive Icelandic orca to be returned home where he had huge room in his bay which he loved, then go out on open ocean walks which he also loved. After a few summers meeting wild whales he crossed from Iceland to Norway on a 1000 mile journey, diving to 72 meters or 236 ft and successfully fed himself. He had to be taken care of again in Norway, but had food, his trainers and could come and go as he pleased and go out on walks in the fjords. Keiko died, he did not become immortal from living in the ocean, but he certainly enjoyed being back home and from 1996-2003 when Keiko was rescued, rehabbed, reintroduced into the wild and died, 22 captive orcas died at the circus stadiums with 9 miscarriages, all but 1 were younger than Keiko. What is Keiko's legacy? Keiko's legacy is that that the training that was used on him was applied to Springer the baby orca that was rescued and dolphins Tom and Misha and they were all successfully released back into the wild, the research that was started on the wild orcas in Iceland has now gotten 1000+ orcas IDed and a lot more. Check out our channel if you want more info on his life.
