Did not have my gore tex trousers and my soft shells got saturated on the walk in due to the winds. Ended up far too cold and could not get a heat in me so backed off.

First ice-climb I ever did. The year was 1999, I think! I was fifty-one years old. Scared the knickers off me, but I later looked back on it and couldn't wait to do more. Done lots since.
The highlight of my free solo career. :)

thanks downloading now....have you done curved ridge in winter conditions?
We just soloed up the first pitch till below the main ice fall, so only done two pitches. Only used ice screws the full route, both at the belays and the odd runners.
The first tune is The Pageant by Solareye, and the second one is All Things In Moderation by Solareye featuring Louie & Tickle. Both tracks are on the free Ep "The Pageant" It wont let me put in links - but the EP is available to download on his band "Stanley Odd" in the music section stanley odd dot com.
