I'm 16 and am going to shadow a diesel mechanic this summer and I'm really excited about it.

Fleet tech here, went to local college and have 5 years of experience making 8 bucks an hour, i love my job and the people i work with!

Eight point sockets work well for diff square head plugs and torque to 50 ft lb.

You should be proud of yourself. I am 30 and still starting. Mad Respect to all blue collars out there.

I started my job as an apprentice at the age of 17. I’m 18 and a half now. I work on semi trucks. Started with basic inspections and oil changes. Now I’m dropping driveshafts, Pulling differentials, etc. still learning diagnostics but getting there. Love being a diesel mechanic. Keep it up man!

Would going to UTI be smart, I want to become a diesel technician I’m only 17 and graduating this year, don’t know what to do? I also don’t have much experience and I feel like I would enjoy this career
