2:50 - the tag for killing all the mancubi honestly *never occurred to me*. That would have been an interesting mechanic to play with! 22:35 - I thought you'd forgotten about the BFG (as I expect most people will!) that your red key would let you get to... 24:30 - the megasphere is indeed the last secret. There's a switch that lowers it; the fireblu textures are a subtle hint. Maybe too subtle! 26:50 - freelook is not a problem here. :) I hate those traditional Icon of Sin maps myself and tried to do something different! 34:00 - the idea is that you flip that switch near the start after pressing the other three. From there, you see the explosive charges going off! Maybe I need to tweak that...

I don't think you spotted the main surprise of the secret map - if you look down at the level from the exit doors, you'll see something a little special... 18:00 - there are three switches to access the red key. One raises stairs, one raises the bars, and this one lowers the platform it's on. You need to press all three but I set it up so you could do them in any order. :)

4:30 - drunk Dooming? Look for a thread on another of my maps, "Demonic Pub Crawl"! 12:20 - the little black square is a sound tunnel - it links the sector to others on the map so gunfire wakes up the monsters in the closet. 25:20 - an Archvile? on map three of eight? That's far too soon! :) 32:40 - I am from the UK, and I did see Harry Hill! (And yes, it's a car park for me too rather than a parking lot...) 34:25 - Yep, all standard assets. The "secret" above the van was not meant to be accessible; it's just where the cacodemon sprang from. 39:50 - Well done on finding the secret exit! Those pink eye switches open in sequence as you find them. The red door leads to the regular exit. And I did go a bit mad on the doomcute...

I remember back to PlayStation 1 ( the music for that port was so much darker /despairing)...saves weren't possible (you had to complete to get a code to the next level that included all items collected. After entering the level code, you could restart the level via the menu (in order to begin the level with only pistol and fist) My and my flat-mate nearly failed our degrees completing all dooms, all levels, 100% kills items and secrets with pistol and fist each level... we ended up subconsciously moving around our own house doom style...PFFFFFF

Hi Mustangtel - thanks for playing my wad, for sharing your video and for doing similarly with others. You scraped through saveless and almost bulletless by the skin of your teeth - well played, it was good fun to watch :) Supplies on UV are very tight. In hindsight, I've configured UV assuming the player is more familiar with the maps. Daft of me really as 95%+ of plays are likely to be one-and-done. Oops! I've Lots to learn. Supplies are more plentiful as the difficulty levels decrease. I might make that clearer in the description. Map 2, there are two possible routes from the start. You're the first player I've seen activate the sneaky repeatable box switch, which does ultimately lead back to some goodies you were wanting. I do agree I should probably tag the computer map discovery as a secret, to be consistent. Map 3, the wall in the first room that you thought should be a secret - spoiler alert! - is a secret. It was once a simple wall hump but I changed it to a timed switch thinking it was too easy... I just released a 4th map as a standalone (in the same Doomworld thread) to see what people think before I add it to the main wad shortly. Thanks for recording your game and sharing your thoughts. It's a pleasure to watch along and to see others enjoying the maps. It also helps mappers learn immensely. Cheers!

That last cyber on 29 was unnecessary lol I regret that decision, wouldn't have blamed ya if you ran past em. but upon reflection I think see a softlock potential in this map, should an archie blast ya into the blue/red room there's no way out! dangit oh well hopefully never happened to haneone haha night

That was worse than Kirkland brand Berserk that was like Dollar Tree berserk. I promise I didn't mess with the Berserk mechanics (dont even know how) you just managed to get the worst berserk in history lol

Here's some science re damaging floors since you were wondering how you found safe spots in my acid map 22 - damaging floors only hurt the player if their feet is directly on them, but if you hover over an edge, step or elevation, and dangle just enough off it to not fall down - it does not give damage - can come in handy in a lot of scenarios (but not needed for this map) PS checkout my new playlist of reveals for these maps as you asked what 22 is like pistol start it gets your heart goin bud lol

I had a total delight watching these today, this one was really fun. IT was my wife's idea the whole unicorn thing and we love how you replayed it to avoid the curse :P PS Pistol start or continuous are both totally fine for most of my megawads - but nice pistol start run for 20 PPS Looking forward to more, note the final few maps are super mean and I might have gone too far in a few places

After watching 31: There is no right way to play this - but I do enjoy seeing the lesser used back area to start method, and you did quite well with it. The little staircase is designed for cyberdemon cheesing. I have no problem with cheese but I didn't know you could cheese the cyber by hanging low in that pond there haha good stuff Regardless Im fine with however ppl end up playing my maps As for saving no worries about that, especially my maps or any maps playing blind really, you never know what BS trap might be thown at ya, why do previous fights over because of it? my philosophy anyway

30:51 was hilarious and awesome, kudos surviving that - well played again. Also forgot I made toilet map was fun seeing you experience that haha - also enjoyed you thinking archie feet was an inp say I am really thankyou for playing these and making me feel good about my old maps again PS dont feel bad about map 6, a lot of ppl couldn't figure that out and were mad about it - I kinda regret putting this in an early slot - it was sort of a last minute replacement but I made it far too cryptic

Very well played especially Map 11: Square of Despair (remember Circle of Death lol) - that map I struggle with often but you handled that goat monster ledge fight perfectly - very impressed also thank you for taking these on, I am looking back at them more fondly now :)
