Ya it's great, the pinnacle of theme park management sims for sure.

A few reasons. 1) This video was a test of both the livestream as well as the performance of Planet Coaster 2 on my PC, which if either of those tests failed would have resulted in a wasted time investment on the park had I started something serious. 2) This playthrough was about information gathering, trying the rides, and getting an understanding of the UI before I dive into career mode. 3) I want to focus on career mode at first but figured a quick sandbox build is the best way to meet the prior objectives. and 4) If I do a megapark style park for video content in PC2 it will be in franchise mode not sandbox as I like to play with money and the entire management simulation too.

Thanks! Next little bit is going to see the beginning of a few new series in preparation for PC2, but after I finish the career modes in all the various games I do intend to continue each series into sandbox parks.

@@Innadiated I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what creations and atmosphere out of a sandbox park you will design. Here is a tip/hack as well that not many people are aware of in RCT3. if you lay down a single row of pathways and then place bins or light post or benches, you can apply another pathway next to it making the bench or whatever in the middle of 2 joined pathways. if that makes sense. Its not really a cheat more just a workaround to help make it look more realistic. Bins and benches are not always on the edge of paths in real life so this just adds to the custom style.

Thanks! Indeed for this playthrough of career mode I want to avoid using cheats however in the sandbox mode at some point in the future I will be sure to try that!

Those dueling coasters are hard to make right! I often go in to scenarios intending to make one but then just.. dont.

The park management side of it is a lot of fun, managing buildings upgrades capacities, etc. What it lacks in building flexibility it gains in management, but I'm pretty sure I can do something interesting with the visual side of it.

Yes especially given I'm playing RCT1 deluxe those parks are nearly impossible to be creative in as scenery isnt an option without the ability to specify height added in rct2. I mentioned in my Karts & Coasters video that for those water based parks I will probably just pass the scenario and move on.

Megapark probably won't be until after the expansion scenarios are complete. I'd like to get viewer feedback for that one on what they'd like to see on it so if there's anything you'd like to see me build in Megapark let me know.

Yea honestly I didn't give the rides credit where it's due and I should have, but they are some pretty slick coaster designs and overall compliment everything very nicely.

Glad you like it! By far one of the most challenging aspects of this build was to try to make the various areas interesting and not just a "bunch of brown stuff".

The snaking footpaths in the air is a huge pet peeve of mine in RCT, with these builds Ive deliberately set out to try to keep the pathing as grounded as is possible. On the flip side I think really well placed bridges can do a lot to sell the scene as well.

@@aharontyson6958 With the straight ones I find as long as you have decent anchor points so that its actually connecting two areas and select proper supports they can look ok. Supports makes the big difference and behave differently with their interactions. IE: A path with wooden support mesh will simply omit the supports if placed on top of another path, where as the types with actual support columns may draw alternative versions (see Trinity Islands for an example of this effect). The columns also look a lot cleaner than the wooden mesh on larger bridges.

Yup I was having to check on it like every 10 minutes during play just to see if the boats were piling up. I get why Chris Sawyer put rides like this in but yea I agree I'm not a fan of the fixer upper rides especially this one

Logistically it just doesn't work but yes I'd prefer it.

@@arhumahmed441 Both - and to also facilitate multiple machines, i explain the connectivity of the them in the video - also why logistically it doesnt work due to the connections.

I don't do overhauls very often so not much extra, by the time im done with gear its usually dead. Or was destroyed. IE: the Hyper X cloud stinger box i have under my monitor.. cat ate the wire on those.

With a short minimum time it can if the dingies end up on the same lift, however i have it set to a timespan that ensures theyre always on separate lifts. It requires a rare case of a back to back breakdown which would launch 3 dingies in close proximity to cause a backup on the lift hill. As the slide has no mid slide lift once they are clear of the lift hill there is no risk of a backup.

@Innadiated makes sense and I've done similar and seemingly fool proof designs and it still happens lol. I love how you do your best to leave as much of your parks with its original rides/ and scenery. I like to do the same with some exceptions. I delete almost all the foot paths when there's a lot like this one, I move the flat rides out of the way at bumbly beach, but the big one is a major redesign of the slide in aqua park.

I assume you mean at the time of build as by the time I recorded the outro guests had distributed and filled the Egyptian Sun's queue. As for stats, it's not something I incorporated into the presentation of this series, following the series I will do a summary video going over all coasters and their stats and for rct2 I will incorporate this into the series.

@@Innadiated yeah i commented then later in the video guests continuously queuing up! Your coasters are also interesting though, would love to see more of that work as well!

I'm honestly surprised you've never tried it! Ive used it in a few maps now: Leafy Lake, Diamond Heights, Evergreen Gardens, Bumbly Beach, Trinity Islands all have one.
