The video is long because we had to take time to highlight some stuff, but honestly it only takes like an hour or two to do the swap. (I can have the bumper off the car in 15 minutes, for example) The holes from a high wing or Z51 wing don't leave you a lot of options to cover them, but I think you'd find the winglets look pretty legit in person. Thanks! Unfortunately, thee are only so many ways to skin that cat and this is a much more economical solution in comparison to having a body shop close the holes and repaint the top portion of the bumper. I also think they look MUCH better in person than my shaky hands can demonstrate. :)

If you're serious about the upgrade, we have two of the wing's in stock right now: one already painted carbon flash and one unpainted (it's primed and ready for color) The unpainted wing would be perfect for your painter to match it to the skirts, since he should still have some of that same paint from that same mix on hand! 😁

The wing is specifically modified to fit and flown with the narrower body of the Stingray. We DO have a Z07 for Z06 wing in development, as well as actual Z06 aero for Z06. One of the things we don't do is try to be first to market with substandard parts, so when we DO make them available, we can be confident they fit right and last. Do you have a Z06 or a Stingray?

Hey there! If the question is "is this a 1:1 reproduction of a Z07 for Z06 wing?", the answer HAS to be "no". Dimensionally, we had to make some concessions in order to accommodate the more narrow body of the Stingray, as well as maintain some sensibility with respect to the lines of the car. To put to plainly: this isn't a max-effort wing (you'd need a frame mount that breaks the roofline for that particular task), but we kept as much of the Z07 wing's DNA as we could, from a practical, aesthetic standpoint. The downforce is significantly greater than, say, a GM high wing, but not a GT2 style monster either, if you know what I mean. Am I making sense? :)

We miss the days where 1 screw would take off a tail light on a C6 and you could install a wing by putting your arm inside the bumper while it was still on the car! 😁 😁 😁 Unfortunately, if we want to put any kind of wing on the car at all, it requires removing the bumper cover. (same for C7!)

Thanks for the feedback, Mike. To be honest, if an owner wants to take advantage of the existing holes on Stingray, the spots have to be more narrow than wide. If not, you have to contend with FOUR holes in the bumper cover (if you have a high wing or Z51 factory wing)vs two by closing the mounts slightly. So, while we were in there, we moved the lines of the wing itself just a bit, so it's both obvious where the influence comes from, while also paying attention to the more narrow body of the Stingray and what that means with respect to the way simply plopping a straight copy of the Z07 would potentially look I'll-proportioned. Again, and as always: thoughtfulness in design is something we can offer when we design and manufacture our own product. :)

@@atomic6carbon There is always a Gen 2. Like I said it looks good. But a wing that resembles that of the Z06 with spread out post can be fashioned for the dimensions of the narrower Stingray while still using the two inner holes from the removed stock spoiler. I ordered my C8 Stingray without a spoiler so I can explore different mounting options. I like how on the original wing the span between the up curvature on either end of the wing is wider with the post positioned under the up curvature to support it. Just my thoughts and opinion which mean nothing. Keep up the good work and I am sure you will have tons of happy C8 owners that want to stand out.

@@chrismanning1171 well, the good news is we also have an actual OEM reproduction for Z06 in the works and it looks like we're going to develop a bracket system that will allow for its installation on a Stingray. It'll require covering more holes, for most, but it'll provide that more aggressive, wider stanced wing like you're describing.

That's a great question, Jerry. We're offering two options for covering up the holes. Option 1 is a cover that mimics the factory bumper. (plates that have that same shape and cover it) Option 2 will be a raised winglet, if you want something a little more aggressive.

Winglets would be my choice. Why not add an enhancement by using the holes and not try to hide or cover them up. That would be for a body shop. 😊

Damon, these use a factory-style mounting flange on the bottom of the car, so we strongly recommend using rivets included with the skirts. (We're sure some of you Corvette Maniacs are going to try using some double-sided tape, but these sustain a significant aero load, so we wouldn't take a chance) If you're looking for side skirts that look awesome AND bolt on directly with no drilling required, you should check out our new V3.06 side skirt system. @@atomic6carbon Why use rivets though? An ordinary screw with a drill bit tip isn't enough to hold the skirts onto the vehicle? I'm legit just curious because I added a set of OEM rocker extensions for my C8 recently and it called for a rivet gun. I didn't have one but I used leftover screws with the drill tips (not sure what they're called honestly, but they look like regular screws but has a tip that looks like the tip of a drill bit for easy install) for the side skirts I've installed for my C7, and the rocker extensions held in place just fine along with the included 3M tape. I'm considering these side skirts though.

@@skylerallens I can only assume you used what are called "self-tapping" screws and while they may do the job for a while, there's always a high risk of them pulling out of the car. They're not meant for high loads and are generally fine thread pieces. We use rivets because once they're in, the chances of a failure that could get someone badly hurt (or worse) on a 3800 pound land-missile is as close to zero as we can hope to achieve. When it comes to parts that can cause damage and death if they come off unexpectedly, we don't like to take unnecessary chances. Better safe than sorry, as they say.

@@atomic6carbon Ah, that makes sense. I was just legit curious as to why certain manufacturers used rivets instead of the standard screws. I honestly never had to rivet anything on my vehicles before, especially with aerodynamic mods.

Steve, we wish we could sell then for that kind of money, but I don't think even the "competitors" importing their stuff from Mexico and/or China for resale are able to sell for that cheap.
