I have a 2011 F-150 with a RC lift, wondering how your matches up to RC lifts, yours is 6.5 right ? how much of a diff do you see ? I am considering that lift or an 8" FTS
@@anthonymoscon18 yes it’s a true 6.5” dropped differential. there won’t be a height difference, only a performance difference with 4WD. Go FTS over everything if you’re not going to get the Rough Country. Nothing else in between matters.
I am going with a 8", I have the 6" on my truck now but with the Trail Boss just being lifted im just feeling like making my Ford look crazy clean@@Yardddy

I’m trying to get the 2inch rough country lifted strut and put a 2 inch strut spacer on top to get a total of 4 inches you think that would work ?
Just get the 4” or 6” struts. When you do it like that, you’re adding more weak points. Which adds more possibilities of failure. If it’s your daily, do it right.
@@Yardddy I would get the 4 inch strut but it’s not available for my truck since it’s a 2wd F-150 2018 they only have the 2 inch lifted strut for a 2wd no bigger then that as far as I know
@@jessealaniz918 they are the same for 2WD/4WD. That was always a confusing issue in the past.

I have a 4inch lift kit and I want to throw in 6inch lifted strut’s with a 2.5 inch strut spacer. But I have the 4inch spindle installed. You think it’s going to be a problem ?
If it’s rough country, the 6” lift is the same as the 4” lift. Only difference is the spacers and rear blocks. Forget a 2.5” spacer, get RC’s 6” lifted strut only if you have 4x4 due to front drive cv axle angles. If not, the sky’s the limit.

I put the Rough Country 7” strut with a 2 inch leveling block and mcgaughy 6.5 on my 2015 eco and it’s a stretch but it rides smooth. New upper control arms a plus but it will work
Unfortunately it didn’t work for my truck. Maybe it was the process? Or maybe because my truck is 4WD?

Did you had to compress the coil spring to get it powder coated ??
It’s sprayed. But no. Yet, you’d need to do so if you’re powder coating.
I’m thinking about powder coating my 6” RC lifted strut but when u removed the spring, did they shoot out ?
You must use the right tools bro… Compress those springs before attempting to remove them.
