Is there anyway to get the Trio at the 2023 Crossroads video back?!

Sounded a bit unrehearsed and dialed in with a smattering of havin a few back stage. Dont get me wrong as I loved it, saw them live the first time round. But this feels everyone has been doin what they do. Johns been playing John, GD and many more. Palladinos been playing for fuck knows how many bands, sessions, tours and the same for Jordan. And with most internationally professional performers of their calibre and crowd pulling ability, they have their assistants sort out their playing schedules and in this case Crossroads, turn up, catch up, hit the bar, hit the stage. Jam it out - and a lot of the time magic happens. And sometimes you get trainwrecks and sometimes you get that performance which gives you a glimpse into the shittier parts of that artists reality. You can have experiences that go down in history. And you can have an average gig that is an average gig. Not terrible and not amazing. For me this performance was just that.

Could someone tell me what kind of strat that? The model and so on.

This must be from a sort of a livestream so the sound is not engineered yet, wait till the dvd release folks

I flew 2000 miles to see it. Great show! I was hoping John would join Clapton on Sunday for his session but I guess he's been there and done that. When Gravity started I thought it was his last song because it usually is and to be honest I was a little disappointed when his energy level for that tune seemed to be dialed down a notch compared to past performances. However, John brought it home with the Trio's version of the Dead tune. I met Eric Gales on the plane ride home. That guy definitely brought some energy to the room! One more for the bucket list. Check!

Do you have any more recordings from the festival?

He sounds better with the Fender. The PRS may be a better made guitar but, it has no character. It does not sound or look as good as a Stratocaster. It does not produce a special or distinctive sound or feel. It's just an expensive very well-made instrument, like all PRS guitars.

Lot of crazy comments. Definitely some soundcheck issues. Tone is subjective (I thought the vultures tone was GREAT) and he's always had trouble singing high notes. Especially since he had surgery. And if you're a dead fan that's now travelled over for this and you have an issue with his voice or tempo...I would direct you to all of the D&C tempos and Bobby's voice. I love Bobby but as you get older your voice changes.

Jesus why all the shit comments. The man's a bonafide musical genius. They obviously played in a lower key for some songs to give a darker deeper atmosphere. The playing was phenomenal and the gift is who he is and his unified attitude to musicians close to him. From me and I believe I speak for those who know, that John can be a delicate and aggressive player and also as proven via this performance he used a great balance of tension building during the likes of gravity. It was beautiful and overall makes me feel better about myself on my own path. This man is a gift. I forgive all this hate and bless all the love. For god's sake listen to this man's soul ..you may need it someday. Blessings
