I disagree that Herb would make our team better than Austin does. I think Austin does so many other valuable things that especially pair well with LeBron. They are the same age but I would feel more optimistic about Austin in the post LeBron era too. Regardless, awesome video. Love all the hypotheticals. Super fun.

As LAker 🟣🟡 Fans, We have to embrace the Fact that The L🌴A LBJ 👑 Era is coming to an End and We won’t win #18 before He leaves so, We have to treat LBJ like a 3rd Star and Build/Re-Structure around AD!!! If We wait til LBJ leaves after the 25/26 Season it will be too late!!! AD is Signed thru 27/28 (3 More Years) so, We need Young/Athletic/Tough/2-Way Players that are 24-28 (CamJ/NikR/etc.) and can Play 3 More Years and possibly Beyond!!! And, bcuz these type players are Hard to Find, I would consider players with similar traits but, are slightly older @ 29-31 (Schroder/DFS/Kuz/etc.) and could play 1-3 more Years with AD.

Nice breakdown; lakers could use solid hustle/energy spark. Since the leaders are cautious they need players who are dogs with expertise. Bones is nice, lakers need charamstic energy he kind of got it. A guard they can get his too not just ball watch when lbj got the ball at the 3 Jaysean tate makes a lot of sense, nice mention.. his size and tenacity looks familiar - Norris Cole or chalmers for lbj but as u say he has different utility. Def energy is very crucial for lakers. I like the mention. His size pairs him well with lbj being an off ball guard offensively and defensively helps lbj if he took on more physical switches. Torrey Craig seems aite. He’s been out of the radar but but a mild utility it’s like what they have now in rui or dlo. Lakers need give who play with infectious spirit. They kind of lackluster. People like Joakim noah or Derek fisher. Richaun fell of the radar for a reason, he should’ve been great when he had success in sac town. Nance is a no, there’s so many pf/c options Nice list tho

I feel how emotional and affected Tommy was on his spiel. But it this didn't show in any of your former pods, and I've been an consistent listener on Apple Pod. It's funny to me how you both are saying that it's been 3 years. Uhm yeah, this group has been together for 3 seasons and we all saw that nothing is changing - as the FO doesn't want to change anything either. Even the times that they prove they still have what it takes. You both said yourself before that this team doesn't need changes, specially in the guard positions - when both, actually no, ALL of their guards can't beat 1v1 without a screens. This team relied on LeBron and AD too heavily for the last 3 seasons, and they're even the healthiest in the team during this stretch (and even pushed through injuries). Half the team is injured too for 2 years now. I think that with the Olympics both AD and LeBron are just done. Imagine being the healthiest front court on the team for 2 years without back up and support. There's also NO "try hard guys" on the team, the Avery Bradley's, Caruso's, and no matter what you think of him, Schroder's of the world whose motor is not affected or reliant by the lack of effort of LeBron or AD at spans (during Novembers and Decembers). Do I blame LeBron and AD? Definitely. As they've been playing horrendously for 5 games now. But do I also question why every single player just follows? Yes. I have not seen a single player who will do his own thing and try hard no matter what even in garbage time. Honestly, Austin is the only try hard guy on the team, and he missed 3 games now.

My favorites from this list would be Tate, Hyland, Nance jr but most of these players have to be buyout candidates or a salary dump move in order for the lakers to acquire any of them. Hylands maybe for a 2nd round pick. Tate who is crazy I was washing the rockets-Kings game tonight and saw him on the bench. I’ve always like him cause like you said he plays bigger than his size. And would be a pest defensively in a lakers team. He would do what Stanley Johnson was doing in 2022 but at a higher level. Craig I can see him being attached to a Lavine trade or maybe a buyout candidate. Holmes I don’t see the lakers going after him since they want valanciunas and Holmes salary is actually higher. Walker maybe on a bigger trade for Jerami Grant or something but lakers got a similar player in Armel Traore. Nance Jr would be perfect but lakers need more size at the 5. Nance would be an upgrade over C.Wood but his salary is complicated.

Lakers need to get lavine. They will never get an elite scorer for cheaper than him. Ever. And it would be a super homerun if they can include vanderbilt in that trade instead of rui. Lakers cant expect bron to carry them thru the playoffs as a scorer every game. And because he wont cost 2 fr picks, lakers would still have draft capital to get a center.
