@@chuckbrown4579 Thank you for your response. I am quite greedy to learn and keen to learn about:- 1. Using Delta command in SPL 2. Using KPI arrow (up and down arrows) at run time by comparing today's values with previous day values. 3. Storing Splunk alert documents in third party shared location such as Box 4. Integration of ticket generator applications like Jira with Splunk so that we can track the updates on the tickets in dashboard for different teams.
Additionally, if you also consider:- 1. Building custom scripts and adding them to Splunk for customized behavior. 2. Building application in Splunk
Hello, I am new to Splunk. How would you display the data in a panel as oppose to charting it. I am trying to do something similar, for example, I have an input "Time", "Host" and "Severity". Severity is defined as error, Warning and Critical. I need to select all 3 inputs out of my data. It is an application log file I am trying to monitor.
In the video at the 4:21 mark, you can select an Events panel instead of a chart panel. You can also build the data panel to your liking, save it as a report, and select 'New from Report' when adding a panel to your dashboard. When viewing the XML source code, you should be able to easily find the query entry and make similar changes using tokens. Good luck and please let us know if this helped.
