Ukraine has already used GLSDBs but was limited in the quantity it had, about a month ago when Ukraine hit a air defence command building in Crimea the impact seen from satellite imagery could only be GLSDBs, all 6 hits were exactly parallel and extremely accurate, all hits had delayed fuzes, from the damage it's clear that these were not anything bigger than 250lbs. About 3 months back USA gave an aid package which came with one additional himars launcher with a "surprise", this must of been 1 pack of GLSDBs as those bits cannot be explained as anything else, now that Ukraine has more of them coming the damage they will do will be much more but still limited in some ways.

This weapon is almost obsoleted before it's been deployed. Cheap long range drones are just as effective. Only real advantage of this weapon is the big warhead, and its speed.

Man, I think small effective anti-drone systems are going to be a hot area of development for about the next 10 yrs at least.

I can see this developing into the lifeline for the UGF / Ukrainian Ground Forces. Taking a palletised/ modular system that can be rapidly installed and deployed; with very common 70mm rockets that dozens of countries produce, it also acts as a force multiplier on a budget. I feel that the seeker-head package that L3 and other subsidiaries makes will likely be the supply chokepoint. Plus, it allows somewhat cost-effective air-defense against UAVs, particularly Class 1-2 UAVs up to 12,000ft / 3,657m. Combine these with the 30mm anti-UAV EOS Slinger to provide point-defense if missiles / rockets miss, and it works. Allows the Gepards and other anti-air complexes (Patriot, IRIS-T SLM, S-300 etc) to focus on more valuable targets such as aircraft and cruise missiles, rather than UAVs, save for Orlan-10s. That's a concern now - Class III+ UAVs broach between SHORAD capabilities and mid-range.
