Simply drill a series of holes or one big hole in the bottom of your plastic flower pot to allow water to pass threw the mesh keeping within the mesh support ring then drill the pot 6 holes using the support ring as a template. This can be done outside the pot then place the screws threw the pot then inside the pot place the mesh over the screws then the mesh support ring then place the washers...

Freelander Viscous Coupling
Переглядів 30 тис.9 років тому
Description Freelander 1 Viscous Coupling parts. This is what I found inside a Freelander Viscous Coupling, I have drawn it to scale in every way. The silicon fluid that was inside was black and thick as tar but white sprit made it thinner and I could clean the plates with just a paint brush and rags. The smaller plates were the slot is they are sharp as a razor on one side and all the sharp si...
Brilliant
Where do you buy your cedar from please
Is it cheaper to make your own boxes with cedar?
The silver plates with holes and slots have 2 notches (inner diameter) in the 12 and 6 o’clock positions. The blue plates also have 2 notches on outer diameter. In your 3d image the blue plates seem to be in the 1 and 7 o’clock positions, relative to the silver plates that are in 12 and 6 positions. Is this how it came apart? Or does it matter? When I took mine apart, the blue plate notches seemed all in the direction. The silver plates were random.
18 dec 2023 5:32 am est ( utc - 5 ) : thanks . just-now i finished fast-foward-and-rewind-to-partially-see this movie . so freelander year 2007 is awd-full-time ? not awd-during-front-tire-slippage-only because 1:50 show 2 viscous-coupling with same-distance-to-each-other all-time to create awd-mode ? those 2 viscous-coupling never far-away-from-each-other to turn-off awd ?
👍👍👍👏
This makes things so clear. I was thinking that propshaft would have to come out at the transfer box but this is much better and the CV joint can have a service too. Thank you
The year was 2007.
Thanks for sharing, What year is this freelander?
I am sure you can still buy handbook with all info you need on Woodprix. Just google it.
Impressed , :) good animation ,
Hi Paul, you know you can buy stacked dado cutters on eBay uk , I bought a new set last year for £80 , I also use them on my moulder , it might help you. Many thanks and a great video etc Cheers Curt
Thanks I would love a dado but they would not fit my saws arbor or the shaft is to short, I need a new saw.
Hi Paul. Do you have any drawings for the jigs used? I would be keen to see a second video of the handles being sawn.
when will you post the rest of the videos please to make the rest? Really good video so far :)
The jigs I use will only fit my saw. I would need to know your saw slot size. blade thickness blade from the slot, slot depth. then I could draw them for you. OK
Paul woudl you mind please sending me a drawing of your jigs.
Do you have plans for your jigs? If so, is there any chance of you posting them?
It don't mater if you wobble a bit it will make it easy to get it back in the right place.
Where did you buy the silicon to re fill
+Ian Chester Hi Ian I have shed loads of Silicon left over, I had to buy loads it cost abought 40 or 45 quid inc post on Ebay.
Sorry for the weight, problem with my crap saw.
Great video, when are you showing the rest please?
Very impressive ! It looks as thought many hours went into this!! Do you post in any freelander forums? I tend to hang out in landyzone in the freelander area.
+zeferrum Not in any forums at the moment but I am learning to draw in 3d, the drawing took 3 or 4 hrs. this is just a video you cant manipulate it like a 3d drawing. I would love to make the whole manual in 3d but I need to work for a living so free time is limited. but if you need a 3d drawing of any thing I will have a go at it for you. may help my drawing skills.
I open it on a lathe, I also opened the wrong end. If I had to do it again I would just drill a hole try to get the silicon out with white sprit and refill. Sorry I never made a video.
Would you put the hole on the side toward the rear or towards the front ?
+zeferrum I put a hole in the front and rear to make it easy to re fill, It's almost imposable to fill with one hole, the air cant get out.
+Paul Drodge Really nice video Paul, I've done the same job twice now and understand why you would want to avoid cutting it open but it really is the only way to do it right. I suspect any other way will result in a mix of old fluid, new fluid and white spirit. BTW I used approx 150mls of 100k cst fluid when filling mine.
Where can I find this fluid
@@yonodc5705 Hi I have fluid left over can post, what part of the world are you from.
please how do you open the carcase of VCU ? have any video?
+Asderian I used a grinder with a 1mm cutting disc. Place the VCU on axel stands so it can rotate and have some way to keep your grinder stable.
