He's a beautiful looking young man who is still a child in many ways due to the trauma he experienced. There's nothing wrong with aging characters a bit when you're looking at long-form drama. Claudia is 5 in the books, but there's no way you could have a child that young play the role.

Santiago most likely assumed the role when they ambushed him after the misunderstanding with Louis, but he continued to direct the play, since that was his primary duty. Technically, he was complicit in breaking some of the laws, since he didn't force Louis to join or kill him (vamps not in the coven are supposed to be killed), or rein in Claudia's rule breaking even though he knew what they had done. The coven was not happy. I doubt he fought too hard, since he never wanted to be the leader in the first place.

Who cares? He only stayed weak because AR hated him. It’s great the show is making Louis so powerful. Makes sense given who his maker is. 🙄 Plus the showrunners even said it made no sense that Louis was the weakest Vampire considering Lestat is his maker.

@@PerfectlyImperfect93 it absolutely doesn’t make sense especially when you take into account the lore. If a vampire makes too many fledglings in a short amount of time the blood becomes more diluted and the offspring get weaker with each one. The show is a dumpster fire

@@ericberlin456 He drank from Akasha before he met Louis. Plus before Louis he only had 2 other fledglings, his mother and Nicholas. It’s an ADAPTATION. Not everything, including the lore, with be the same. Think what you will of the show stick to the books if your unhappy with the show 😉

He's powerful in his power and manipulations, but so weak in his vulnerability. And that's a weird thing to say because most people think if vulnerability and think that's it's alwaus wielded as a weakness. But Armand doesn't know how to just give it freely. It has to come hand in hand with some sort of manipulation or "used" for something so he doesn't have to actually feel weak or vulnerable when exposed. Lestat is such an arrogant asshole in general that when he does expose himself, it feels like a strong vulnerability because he still has himself despite all he could lose. He doesn't think he can really choose for others? That there's so much pride, that it's only a worthwhile win if they actually choose him, not if they are manipulated into it.

When you get to know hi character in Armand The Vampire you realise this, he was always weak, he was mistreated and used all his mortal life by his relatives and the used as a sex toy by Magnus who only turned him cause he couldn’t let go of his fleshlight, the groomed into submission, lied to, manipulated by, of course he was gonna be this monstrous in the end on this adaptation, the fact this Louis stayed with him is crazy, books Louis would never, not this blindly

Louis doesn’t need to be with anyone else for a while if anything because Louis deserves better

Louis will have huge fight on his hands when most beautifull most ruthless charming deadly intelligent wampire quenn becames obssesed with lestat / then Louis will understand how much he loves lestat

@@MrMgage13 disagree with you, Louis, despite holding a grudge against him for several centuries, he loved Lestat, as Lestat loved Louis. For 77 years he was trapped in a love affair based on lies with Armand without realizing anything. Lestat has always been my favorite ever since I read the vampire chronicles because he has always remained human deep down. i love it lestat.

@@martakavaliauskaite4566 I agree with your opinion The Queen of the Damned has been obsessed with Lestat since 1788, when she gave him the first taste of her blood after hearing the cello playing when she entrusted Marius as a pupil. Lestat will also have a battle on his hands with other vampires who want to eliminate him for revealing himself as a vampire of a metal rock front band by throwing a challenge. Lestat is the most human of the vampires in the chronicles even if in the first book he is made out to be a despotic and evil character. I love it, it's my favorite. I don't hate Louis but his way of being hypocritical in certain aspects bothers me.

The show explicitly changed it and said he was from Delhi. Also, in the books he's from what is now Ukraine, not Russia.
