    What was your reasoning for using the non scrub pad first and the Agitation pad second?

    • @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning
      @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning День тому

      i used a hog hair fiber pad to scrub. As for the extraction pad, yes, I did use a scrub pad. The reason for that was because this was my second job, and I left my bag with my pads at my first job. I happen to have the green scrub pad and a dirty microfiber pad in the van, so I had to improvise lol!

    • @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning
      @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning День тому

      I use a WORX cordless power washer. I think its 320 PSI. I bought the lowest PSI one I could find. It still corks out way to much I think. As long as you spray quickly it works ok. The reason I bought a WORX was simply because I have 4 other tools that are WORX and I can use the batteries on all of them. They are all 20V batteries. Ya, pump up sprayers just don't cut it for bigger jobs. Even the battery powered ones in my opinion.

    Thats to bad that your Oreck quit working. i have been using them for about 12 years and I'm on my third one right now but its going strong and I see it lasting for many more years because I use it with a glider and that completely takes any strain off the motor or relay. I saw you have a different pad driver for your Oreck, does it tear up bonnets like the normal Oreck pad driver does or does it just grip the bonnets without doing any damage.

    • @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning
      @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning Місяць тому

      Ya it sucks! It was pretty old though so I can't complain. I actually just ordered that pad driver as the "original" one is so full of lint and debris the pads are not sticking to it that well any longer. So far, I like it, it holds the pads well and has not torn up my pads as of yet. I have only used microfiber pads on it though, so we will see what it does to a cotton pad. Those tend to get messed up easier.

      @@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning I have my original pad driver that is about 12c years old and it grabs the pads enough to hold them but not tear them up when removed from the pad driver. I also homemade a velcro pad driver out of another oreck pad driver that I use pretty much all the time because it works so great. I only use the original pad driver for oreck and Ironman bonnets because they give off to much lint for my velcro driver. My velcro driver is great with microfibers and any cotton pads like glad pads or challenger pads.

      This blue pad is very aggressive. Usually, I would never even use it on residential carpet, just for commercial carpet. However, in this situation I thought it was best for the job at hand. All of the pads have their perks and their flaws. The more you experiment with them, the more you will figure out what ones you like in certain situations. Your cleaner machine sounds like it is struggling , perhaps a good steam cleaner would help, mind you I have not seen all the video yet, so perhaps you used one.

      No, I didn't use any HWE. I used to be a HWE guy for 15 years. I switched to SETT / ULM / VLM a year next month it will be now. By far the best decision I have ever made for my company. And, yes I am having a few issues with the machine. Now my jets in the front are no longer spraying. I had to attach my hosed sprayer to it so I can pre-spray if needed. Its old, and I just do not have time to drive an hour and 20 mins out to Mytee's Location. It sill gets the job done though, so that's all that matters to me. I needed an aggressive piece of equipment for this job. I'm about due to get a new one anyways lol!

      Thanks! Ya, this job was a challenge to say the least. I actually did this job about a month ago. One of my advertisers told me to make a shorter version and put it as the main video that pops up when you come to my page. This is the original video about a month ago ua-cam.com/video/gumkpCCz6JY/v-deo.html I do agree with you on those nasty jobs, they are fun to do! Most of the time anyhow lol! At least this house was just nasty, and didn't smell bad at all to my amazement.

      Hello, and congratulations on starting your own business! It takes a lot of faith and courage. As for the microfiber pad, honestly it is usually my last choice to pick unless I am doing commercial carpet. I will use it occasionally, but it is rare. I prefer a cotton pad as it absorbs more soil in my opinion. If a microfiber pad is what you want you can try bonnetpro.com or encapstore.com I do not know if they ship internationally though, but worth a shot. I hope this helps you.

      Thanks, I appreciate that! Honestly, I would have walked away from this job if it had not been for the 2 kids walking barefoot in the home when I came for the inspection. Had I walked in there and saw them with shoes on I probably would have walked away from this job. Turned out to be a good video, and I got to play with my Mytee so I had fun doing the job as well. Feel much better now for those kids walking on that carpet, makes me sleep better at night it does.

    Have you had any moisture go through the backing and ruin the floor underneath. I’m always worried I’m going to wreck the floor underneath with moisture coming through. Especially with hard wood floors.

    • @ProCleanersCarpetCleaning

      No, I have never had that issue. Especially with low moisture you shouldn't run into that problem at all. I used to clean thicker rugs on site when I did HWE even with no issues. On thinner rugs I did put plastic under the rugs first with HWE. No need now though with low moisture method. Go to the paint department of Menards, Home Depot, or Lowes and you can buy rolls of plastic for a decent price. Just cut them to length as needed. Hope this helps. ua-cam.com/video/ai-0Idyaczk/v-deo.html Here is an old video where I used plastic under a rug when I did HWE
