The place Feniton is a small village in east Devon in the southwest of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. There is a railway 🚃 station 🚉 in Feniton has one ☝️ single platform and one ☝️ single railway 🚃 track 🛤️. 👍👍👍👍

Just a bit of nostalgia as I worked on the Depot and walked the line inside , in use and part overgrown from Fenny Compton towards Kineton on occasions..once blocked by a large short eared owl

are you still active on youtube? i just agreed to buy a house right by the school with a drainage ditch behind it, I was told the new development had fixed the drainage problems. I'm slightly apprehensive about buying now, is the flooding still happening? funnily enough the agent didn't mention anything to us about flooding.

Developers dont need to learn - they've made their money and run. Its only when our spineless councils (leant on by central govenrment) get a grip and stop issuing planning permission without insisting on developers funding full scale flood defences/relief schemes for developments on flood plains that the problem will be solved.

I remember the station well in the late 1950's while everything was manual. There used to be a stopping service from Taunton to Exeter. Many expresses i have seen running through, namely The Cornish Riviera Express and the Torbay Express, both Paddington departures. The Cornish Riviera used to run each day into Cornwall, stopping at Exeter but on a Saturday she would slip a coach with barely a stop.

and this signal box still stands tall today. i took some pics of it today also as i went on a walk since i live just a 20 min walk from it. also just 5 min walk from my house are 2 bridges which also had something to do with that same line.

I'm sharing this to show the dreadful flooding that happens in Fenition where Wain Homes have just been given permission to build yet more houses! I really hope that all the letter of opposition to EDDC's seriously flawed Local Plan will result in an enquiry that shows that EDDC are really in the pockets of the EDBF and care very little for the residents who pay their Council Tax and thus allow them to be so cavalier with the planning applications that are nodded through.
