Thanks for the video! Just curious if you got a lot of pinstripes from the narrow trails in Kofa? Thanks!
Definitely had some pinstriping during that trip. Thanks for watching!
@@palehorseadventures Yikes! I was hoping not too much, my cousin is brining his new rig and was asking.
Off Subject but whats the covering on the inside of the tailgate, that you have stickers on etc?
@@ShannonBurgess-x5x - it’s a tailgate table that folds out. This specific one is called the Trailgater by Outback Adventure Products, but there’s several different options in the market.
Nice video, I think it's nice how you put the coordinates to the trail heads in the video
How did you get the camping spots from the website to GAIA GPS? Or overlay them?
I manually created waypoints in Gaia while looking at the BLM map in another window.
What is the green thing in the back mounted to the wall?
The green box in the back? It’s a tire repair kit I keep in a little compartment in the back.
Thanks for the review! You've convinced us, we're getting em!
I had Deepsleep for my Jeep, and once they released the Bronco version, i ordered them.
Hey I love your energy guys ! Keep it up ! Cheers from Luxembourg, take care
Really appreciate that! We’ve got a big trip coming up soon. Stay tuned.
What camera are you using on your dash?
GoPro
Great video!! Glad to see you back on here bro 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Thanks, Turk. More to come this year!
Bout time! Yeah buddy
Yeahhhh buddyyyy
WE OUT HERE FAM!! Great to see you’re enjoying the binocs 🥸 your camp adventures are so inspiring 🥹💜
that is a lot of windshield time for one day!
that section of shelf was super narrow!
😬😬😬
Did the trail itself ever require 4wd?
It can most likely be done without 4wd, though there are definitely some sections of soft sand (especially on some of the side trails near the Salton Sea) that could get a 2WD stuck.
Such an incredible area and great camp spot. Thanks for sharing the adventure!
Random, but at 1:30, what plaid is that? 😅
The brand is called Orvis. Jessica got it for me from Costco a couple years ago and it’s incredibly comfortable.
Your Wife and kids are adorable.
Was near there the other day. Went up Iron Canyon Sceneic trail since it's rated 3 but had to skip Black Rock Canyon trial since it's rated 4. My 8.6" ground clearance just isn't cutting it. Vids like this make me jealous. Thumbed up and subscribed.
You all are super-cute! Doing things similar to how I like to do them - with lots of blankets and cozy things! Jessica reminds me of a couple of Taurus ladies I know ♉
Staying warm and cozy is critical in below freezing temps. Justin is actually the ♉️. Jessica is a ♎️!
@@palehorseadventures aw, two Venusians - no wonder you all keep it cozy!
Looking for people to go camping with and I'm in Orange County.
LETS GO!
I don't care how good this thing is, it is no way worth the price they charge for them.
Great content! Perfect campsite!
Much appreciated!
Super Sick
Looks great. I do have a question, typically sleeping mats with an R value higher than 5 are for freezing weather. This has an R value of 18. Would that not prevent some heat loss in the warmer nights of spring or summer making it too warm for those seasons? Thanks
What’s the breakdown process though? Seems that’s where it gets not so user friendly
Since it's memory foam, you'd just open the valves and roll it back up, pressing the air out
Thanks for this video. A couple of my buddies and I are planning to do the Bradshaw trail over 3 days soon - near the end of April...so it is helpful to get a glimpse of what we are in for. Looks like a pretty easy trail (as the trail review point out) and has many sights to see, can't wait until we get out there. Your dogs are great, glad they didn't get abducted by aliens. ha.
Ah, you guys should have a great time. Bradshaw itself is a very easy trail. Some of the adjacent trails have a few minor obstacles, but are still very easy.
Awesome !! I am going there this month w/ my Siberian Husky, hope to find same spot !! Keep on Making Great Videos !!
You guys will have a great time! Thanks for the encouragement…I’ve been slacking on editing videos lately 😆
subscriber #745. amazing channel you guys have!
Cheers! Really appreciate that. That gives me some motivation to finish editing some more videos that I have footage for.
Did you stay aired down once you got on the main road after berdoo, before old dale?
I aired up before getting back on the main road. It’s about 30 miles to Old Dale, and I didn’t feel comfortable going that far at 20 psi.
I love Alabama Hills! I think, after watching this, it is time to plan a camping trip with my dog. Is your white dog half pitbull and half dachshund? so cute!
That’s our old girl, Patty. She’s a pit mix, but we’re not quite sure what she’s mixed with. She has short legs and a long body. Vets have suggested maybe dachshund, basset hound, or corgi. The more corgis I am around, the more I think that’s what she is. Similar personalities. Thanks for watching!
Seems like you can save some time. why not deploy real memory foam cut to shape, leave it set up while you drive, stack your totes on it and put them on the ground or up front when you sleep? Super nice to be able to sleep with minimal effort
I'm going to guess that Justin is an Aquarius and Jessica is an Aries.
♉️ + ♎️
Nice review! What tire rack is that?
It's called a rucRak! Very versatile system that I've used for almost two years. I'll have to make a review video for it while I'm out on my next trip next month. You can use coupon code PALEHORSE to get $100 off your purchase of a rack.
@@palehorseadventures awesome, thank you! looking forward to your review
Thanks! Just ordered!
Sweet! Hope you enjoy it.
I have traveled the Bradshaw many times but it is a long way from Pennsylvania where I live now.
Do you need to crack windows etc when car camping? Enough air in there with everything locked tight?
Yes I crack the windows about an inch. It helps cut down on condensation. I did have condensation on this last trip; it dropped into the low 30’s with high humidity. Hadn’t had a problem with it before that.
That's a great spot ❗ I've stayed there in that exzact same a spot. What's a group of friends ,and at that time my English Staffordshire Pitbull terrier .
Deepsleep? more like deepstate….
Go on…
Tell me more….
Beautiful mountain area in the back, and I love that you guys stayed at the campground for two nights. Thanks for sharing.
I remember when camping here was serene and pristine. Then the internet found out.
This is why I encourage our overland/dispersed campers to not give out coordinates or locations. As much as we want to share, it's better if we let people learn to do their own research. I like to imagine if they know how to put in time to research, they'll be responsible enough to leave sites cleaner.
Nice review. An insulated sleeping pad really helps to keep you warm
Absolutely! Their website claims the mattress has an R value of 18.75 - which is super warm! Plenty of insulation since its not like you're taking it backpacking and have to worry about the weight.
Nice vid. Do you think 9 inches of clearance would be enough on those obstacles?
Thanks! I've seen videos of stock crossovers and SUVs doing Berdoo Canyon, though some struggled on some of the obstacles a bit. You'll most likely scrape on the first obstacle in Berdoo Canyon, so you may want to skip that one (it's optional!), unless you have skid plates or are with some other vehicles. You'll probably be ok on the mandatory obstacle unless you're in a particularly wide vehicle. It gets pretty narrow. Old Dale Road could be a problem though. That trail was in pretty rough shape when we went, and there were some large rocks on the hill climb. I've seen videos of a subaru getting high centered and stuck on Old Dale. Though I've heard plenty of people getting through fine. Go at your own risk and bring a buddy. Note that I have not done either of these trails since Hurricane Hilary in the summer of last year, so trail conditions are liable to have changed.
and gas prices are $5.00+ a gallon in California.
it could be $9.00 a gal. and we would pay it.
What part of Commifornia you at? Great vid!
Very nice! Love it!
Thank you! 🙏
Beautiful! There's something to be said about getting away from everything and everyone, and love these "lesser traveled" destinations. If you ever make it down to Texas, Big Bend Ranch State Park might just scratch your itch (in exchange for a lot of desert pinstriping!)
Thanks for the recommendation! We’re no stranger to pin striping, but the good thing about the Cactus Grey color is it hides scratches really well.
I thought dispersed, camping was no longer allowed there🤔
It's still allowed, but they've added more restrictions. BLM has published a map of approved spots to camp, which you can find here: www.blm.gov/sites/default/files/docs/2023-02/AH_Camp_Map_508.pdf Our spot is on this map. Thanks for watching!
@@palehorseadventures thank you I’m so glad they are still allowing some camping in the area.
@@palehorseadventures how did you get the dispersed campsites on Gaia?
@whereisjohnnow - it was a manual effort. I looked at the BLM map and made waypoints on Gaia for the designated camp sites.
31 is downright balmy. Ever woke up to 19?
Sure have.
Gorgeous !! Thank you for sharing ♥️
Yeah, this place is amazing! Thanks, Emily.
