Just curious but is flossing legal?
@@JustinFrancisco-c3u Flossing is considered illegal, however drift fishing which is a similar technique is legal.
@ Thanks! So what you guys are doing is considered drift fishing than?
Snagging fish for fun is crazy
@@ericklagos1431You’re right.
Pathetic style of fishing. Illegal as well.
Flossing, (which is illegal) chums on the green is so sad and lame.
@@TimmyTee-h9u Indeed.
It slowed down a little by the tracks... you think they'll be in this whole month?
@@mtime143 I think the rain should help push more fish up so that’s what I’m counting on
High tides?
@@adriannguyen1209 Not sure exactly, but we fished from 9:00am to 11:00am.
@@ReelingInThePNW what was your setup? Drifting small corkies and yarn?
@ Just a small corky will do the trick along with an 7-10ft leader.
@ can you do bobber and jig on this place or too shallow for that? Seems all the people are drifting
@ There are sections further down that stretch where you can float fish.
SLAY!!! Back to back chums!! 👏🏼
@@carissaalvarado8552 Slaaaaay!
Awesome man I’m still trying my best to get my first salmon! 💪
@@Irfaans_Room It’s only a matter of time! Keep trying different techniques 🤙
just went here today and hooked like 15 fish in like a hour this place is absolutely loaded with fish rn
@@eazyrust.1 Sounds about right! It felt like we hooked into a fish every other cast lol
Best people I’ve met while fishing. I had never caught salmon before. They modified my setup(using their own gear) and trained me until I hooked my first fish. Later on I landed two more. Thank you for being nice and making fishing fun❤
@@SK-sx9pr Hey man! Super pumped to be a part of your first salmon catch. Hopefully we’ll see you out there next week as well!
How long was your leader?
@@adriannguyen1209 about 8-10ft
@ReelingInThePNW thats so sorry 🤮
@ True.
Will the chum salmon still be in the lower parts on the river like near the duwamish this week?
@@Irfaans_Room Chum should be coming in all month long
@ okay
I've been having luck with bobber and jigs in the lower section. Might try out this spot next time for some good ol' drift fishing.
@@UrbanAngler206 Nice! What size jigs are you using?
@@ReelingInThePNW 1/8oz to 1/4oz jighead on a 1/2 to 5/8oz float. Jighead with a white or chartreuse head, pink or purple feathered body.
@ Thank you! I’m going to give that a shot one of these days
Bobber and jigs has been money for me and some buddies. Nothing beats seeing that bobber drain lol!

ITS TO LATE GUYS. NO MORE FISH IN RIVERS
@@ivanhenry206 There’s still plenty of fish! You just have to know where to go
What length is your bobber stop set at?
@@Vityasviri I typically run a 2-4 foot leader depending on the hole I’m fishing
Do u cure ur own eggs? If u put scent on it do u mind sharing what kind of scent? Nice Video!!
@@PNWFishingAdventures Yes, and it’s super simple to do! Basically after you get the eggs, try to get as much blood out of the veins as you can. Lightly cut the eggs down the middle lengthwise. Then use any kind of curing formula you like, I personally use Procure Double Stuffed. Sprinkle a generous amount on both sides of the skein and put them in a zip-lock or container and leave them out at room temp for about 12 hours. You can then wrap them in paper towels and store them in the freezer for up to 1-2 years or in the fridge for a week.
@ReelingInThePNW great thank u! 😃 I was on vacation this whole week and been fishing with store bought eggs and spinners with no luck, I even was out on the river this morning from 6 to 11am... Nothing. Now I have to go back to work tomorrow haha. 😫

@@TheKill678 Good luck tomorrow man! I’m honestly not sure since I’ve only fished the green at this one location
Let em eat a little longer and set the hook straight up instead of to the side upriver. When you set the hook upriver you're basically just pulling the hook out of the fishes mouth. Gotta set it straight up and down so the hook goes up into it's mouth.
@@ChandlerNoll when you explain like that it makes perfect sense lol, thanks for your comment man!

@@pter0_dactyl Thanks man I appreciate it!
You can keep native chinook. And you actually have to keep the first two you catch. Nice video though
@@youraveragefishkeeper That’s super helpful to know, thank you!
Read the regs, you can keep kings in a certain section of the river, wild or hatchery. I know it isn't easy fishing solo in regards to how you go about catching fish but letting the fish flip around on the bank isn't the best for it. I'm not perfect by all means and I've done that. It's just better if we all try our best to handle the fish a little better each time we go and encourage others to do the same. Nice fish and nice video. Tight lines
@@SalmonSlayer253 Thanks for your comment man! I agree, I’m gonna start bringing a net to keep the fish in the water.
@@ReelingInThePNW hell yeah, i hope you slay next time you go. I just got off work early so I'm heading there right now lol
@@SalmonSlayer253 I appreciate it! I’ll be testing some soft beads next time. Good luck out there!
If you're going to blow up the river by putting the name, might as well put the spot on there. Nice video but c'mon man. Spot is Starfire Soccerfields Also, as far as recommendations go, id recommend 4/0 for kings, 2/0 for silvers. Also, stinger hooks can sometimes make a difference. Ive sometimes landed fish only because of the stinger hook.
@@ericklagos1431 Thanks for your comment! To be fair though I don’t recall disclosing the exact location. I appreciate your recommendation on the stinger hooks, I’ll look into those!
@ReelingInThePNW doesnt matter if you disclosed the actual location or not, the simple fact that you mentioned the river is enough for people to do a google search and find it. Especially w the blue building in the back. You may as well save them the time...
Pretty sure stinger hooks aren’t allowed in this river
@@maxfishinn you’re correct! Only single barbless hooks on the green.
@maxfishinn stinger hooks are most definitely allowed on the Green Duwamish River, same with barbed hooks.
I was up substantially higher and got a few kings and a solid coho the other day. Peak high tide into a drop tho.

Bigger hook , or less bait and a quicker hooked would help a lot
@@silverstreamweldingltd471 Thanks for your comment! I’ve been running a size 1/0 hook on my float setup, what size do you recommend?
@@ReelingInThePNW that should be fine, maybe just a bit less bait or be sure that you have the hook point well exposed . I’ve found less is more with springs and they will often grab even just a couple eggs and the watered down membrane after 5-10 casts which results in much easier hook ups. I also set upwards in a very quick and snappy motion, I’ve found over the years that reeling and setting to the side, while it does insure that it’s a fish and not a snag, ends up pulling the hook up stream and out of the mouth rather than directly up into the roof of the mouth. I’m not trying to tell you how to fish or any like that , just offering some info that has seemed to work better for me over the past 20 years or so I’ve been river fishing in the pnw . Good to see you getting fish , keep it up
@@silverstreamweldingltd471 I appreciate all the advice I can get! I’m super new to fishing bobber and eggs so I’ll give those tips a shot when I go fishing next. Thanks man!

how come you don’t use a smaller reel? i usually have my curado dc and a 10’6 sst just wondering! cause it’s a lot easier to manage in my opinion
@@vroy4834 that’s a nice setup! I’ve looked in the curado dc, but have always worried about not having enough line since I use 50lb braid and that eats up reel space quickly. My rod is a 9’6 but during Black Friday I’ll check for some deals on a 10’6!
