You guys picked the better version of the song 👍

He backed on this song by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. I saw Chris Cornell do the Cash arrangement Live. It was great.
salute to yall man...word
Loved seeing you both zoned in to the music...
❤❤❤🎉
Ten things I hate about you
Fire
4:22 that was beatdown hardcore, a better example for crossover hardcore would be Mindforce I feel like
One of the sickest intros/slide ins to a song
Fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
the shit
The Brazilian drum that makes the fart noise is called a Cuíca
lol I think the beat was supposed to be part of the no gimmicks theme. I hope.
Theme for the movie "Midnight Cowboy".
The deepest rap since The Message from Melli Mel and Grandmaster Flash. BTW I love Rakim but even he doesn't have a rap this intricate and sophisticated. This doctoral PHD level $hit. It takes many times listening to it to even begin to understand what's being said. Go luck if you think you can get it listening once.
Hood!
Graceland is in Memphis, Tennessee
The dark room video I believe in England? That White Stripes version is way better than this version.
Spiderbait check out the rest of the catalogue , BUY ME A PONY , FUCKEN AWESOME , OUT OF MY HEAD , BLACK BETTY ,ETC don't write them off on one song you'll miss out great reaction keep up the good work
Kool G Rap released this when he was 20 😮
Hey Wilshake Please Do a Reaction To Big Daddy Kane Aint No Half Stepping
this is the song that will be playing when RF takes over US
Woah. What did I just learn. G Rap saying Cream way back then.
Yes but not in the same meaning it has today. When he says "suckas get creamed " some kind of harm comes to the person getting creamed. Or when he said " cream of the crop " means best of the best
Could not read a single note.
🤍
Вам уебкам ни смысла ни музыки никогда его не понять
Reminds me of……… [several moments later]
Not much of a reaction video. More like let’s get wasted and fuck around.
great reaction guys, i really loved that you gave your own view on it with your aunt
Mighty Grinners!
Han är sååååå bra
Wait…wht?! 9.5 cause of the beat?! Smh. Aight …..hope y’all listened to this afterwards again. ✌🏾
We were not listening to the same song. SINGLE RHYMES....Kool G Rap is the king of multisyllabic Rap. This song was unlike any other song in the 80s. They still rhyming like this except fast rap. This song is 10/10
This is one of my mother’s favorite songs by ROD. I grew up hearing him and the young ELTON JOHN. 🥺🎸🎶
That sample was from Billy Joel's stiletto. This song is clearly 10/10. You have to understand the storytelling piece. Kool G Rap, Slick Rick, and Biggie are the best storytellers in Hip Hop history. Shoutout to for reacting to this song. If you want to hear some crazy lyrics, check out Marly Marl's Symphony. That song is crazy.
Great reaction!
Thank you!! 😁

I think it’s clearly a cultural divide if you gave this commentary on this song on the east coast , Newark , Philly , nyc , Boston etc people wouldn’t think you was credible
Disgraceful commentary and disrespectful clearly couldn’t dj in the black community. This song was a perfect 10 and one of the hardest song of that era and hip hop history
ima blink when middle guy blink fight me
Don't act like you never heard of this recording
Love it🎉😂😂❤😢😮😮😅😅😊he is missed 😢🎉😂❤
Наше,Вам всем пожелание.Россия любит Всех!
Good to hear someone overseas saying they listen to them when they were young and shit yeah they are good live
I believe Rasul Allah is the main MC who mostly rapped on this song & I think he actually passed away as well. I don't remember how long ago he passed but Rest in Peace to Rasul Allah. The group originally formed in Munich, Germany but I think one of the members actually lived in NYC for a while & might have family in NYC as well. A back & forth type situation, if I'm not mistaken. A very solid group as a whole. I actually love the uniqueness of this particular group. Some of their other songs actually have mixing & scratching from the DJ but obviously this one didn't. I think they purposefully kept it plain without scratching & other samples. And if memory serves me right, much like other "conscious" rap groups, they claim the Muslim faith & make several references to Allah. That seems to be a pattern with many conscious Hip Hop artists usually claiming the "5 percent nation of Islam" and referring to themselves as Five Percenters. I am not one myself but was in fact fascinated with the religion at one point in time.
Thanks for this! Make sure to follow my hip hop page @templeofbars
@@Wilkshakevidz You're Welcome good Sir. 😎💪💯🙏 Thank you for the invitation to your other channel. The link didn't really work for me, unfortunately. But I will definitely visit this channel more often.
Nobody mentioned anything about the lyrics about battling addiction, or the reason why maybe the song was produced or constructed that way. I'm ok with not liking the song, but comparing it to Nickleback is really disappointing. Anyway, keep doing your thing!!!
You didn't play the end of the song????
I was rocking out to this in the clubs in 1978. A senior in High School. B4 our state legalized liquor sales. There was only beer and wine sales. Pink Chample was the drink.
