Eveyone praising the industry after watching through streaming platforms And majority of non keralites won't support when it comes to theatre.. Due to lack of pan Indian support our creative freedom is limited...

Vintage mollywood is something else , where most of the other industries copied and remaked movies, some of them failed because they couldn't match the performance of the actors then... I'm not praising the malayalam industry it's just a fact.

I love many movies from Telugu film industry. Strated with Allu Arjun movies then Rajamouli movies. They create trendsetter and make people fall for it. Some contentless movies doesn't make it totally wrong what's happening there.

There are defenetly movies with quality content and experimental touches in telugu like Mathu Vadalara, Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, Brochevarevarura etc... Every film industry has good movies and bad ones. There are defenetly movies in every film Industry that comes on par with the best ever movie in Mollywood. But consistency is the key. There are Commercial movies in Mollywood also. But in theatres for these movies to do good, it also needs content. Other wise, those will be flop in kerala, no matter the star. As a mallu, i know there are actually a vast load of totally crap movies in Malayalam also but nobody gets to know about it because they had been a complete disaster in theatre itself and Ott platforms doesn't even take it. I honestly don't know about how movies are received in Tollywood. As far as the knowledge i have from some friends and Internet, even movies with only masala and poor content gets good reception there (please correct me if I am wrong). If the audience consistently need good quality content, it will automatically start to come out.

Most of the Mollywood content are from washed out foreign films 😂 Except from manichithrathazhu and devasuram; the movies with original screenplays which are entertaining at it's best and fully encompasses what kerala culture is But malayali films are best when it comes to comedy genre, no other industries in india can reach to their level. I get that you think that even if you don't like an industry, you shouldn't show disrespect to the industry later. But it is true that TFI is very male-dominated and is obsessed with sexualising female bodies, which is totally wrong. Also, when you don't like something, you shouldn't do what you're saying , but many times, when an actress is struggling, there is no option . This is just my opinion. I guess now the time is changing and women are being more vocal but till 2010s i don't think women's opinion was even considered important. But video is very good. Nicely listed and explained.

Audience matters, pushpa type of an exaggerated action movie can make money from kerala. But same type of an original malayalm movie with malayalam actors won't usually work in Kerala. Make a good story with out even colourful songs and dances that can make a hit in kerala.and at 10:15 😂😂😂😂😂

Both the industries cater to different types of viewers... Without both these industries, our Indian films would be a disaster like Bollywood. Also people are watching Malayalam movies now because of OTT but let me tell you the 80s, 90s and 2000s Malayalam movies were in a different league. I was born in Andhra and I was brought up in Kerala...I feel lucky that I am able to enjoy some of the best movies from both industries in their original language...
