Having done this a few times myself with my Qysterqurtz I do have some pointers.. the screws are long enough to take the tension out before they are undone, so if you undo them fully you can lift the retaining plate out with the screws in place, and the contact/insulator as one, which makes reassembly a lot easier! One thing that has not been mentioned is how loud these are!

I seem to be having a problem adjusting my clock. I have a very old clock never need adjusting, but I’m my grandfather clock. I’m having a bit of a problem. I am waiting at least 10 hours to do it. I probably need to do 24 hours like you recommend and I’m doing little tiny terms not full-time I believe, 1 full turn equals one minute???

Just a comment about nomenclature. The movement you are showing has a balance wheel with a flat hairspray and pivot-in-cup support for the balance wheel. This style superseded the floating balance which actually did float on a helical spring. The floating balance was a superior mechanism but difficult for the customer to regulate and it was more expensive to produce besides.

This place is a fraud. Do not go here. They will ruin your watch faster than you can walk in the door.

I have a clock that is not working and thanks to your video I know there is something broken The top of that bracket that moves like a pendulum does not have the top. Is it worth fixing it? It is a Hamilton 340-020

My clock runs constantly slow. Even after adjusting the knurled knob up, it still runs slow. What can I do? Thank you.

Adjusted mine over a 2 week period and adjusted the pendulum to the point of it coming apart trying to slow the time down.I put it back together but my clock still runs too fast.Any suggestions? Thx

I have a grandfather clock. The minute hand of the clock is running little bit fast and I adjusted the pendulum several times but still it is running fast. Please give me a solution . Other thing is I want to know whether the level of the ground affects this problem.
