    Hi! I just got this same camera and I want to be sure about something about how works the led inside the viewfinder. When there is good light and I press the shutter it lights up green right and when there isn't enough light it lights up red right? What I am unsure is what does it means when the led turns red when I press the shutter but doesn't turn off for multiple seconds (up to a minute or more). Is it because to tell me that the picture keeps being taken for all the time the led is lit red because light really isn't enough and long exposure is needed?

    Hi, I’m not sure if you can help me but I recently took this camera on vacation and once my first roll was at its end, I think the battery died? I tried to push the rewind switch and it is now stuck there. I replaced the batteries but the camera doesn’t rewind the film and when I open the lens the green light does not come on either. Seems like it’s completely dead but I’m not sure why.

    Thank you so much for this. I found our vintage camera same to this Konica Pop ST and I'm planning to use it our out of town. Just bought a 35mm film online, so now I'm learning how to load the film inside. I am excited to use our our old camera. It's almost 30 years old but still working.

    Smile Camera, do you know if the Altix III can take the 50mm lenses from the Altix IIIA? I know they give different negative sizes but apparently they did supply a 50mm for the III as well as the standard 35mm lens. It seems that the Tessar-equipped Altix III did not have interchangeable lenses. I don't know if the Novonar lenses on some Altix III's were interchangeable. My Altix III has the 35mm Laack Tegonar and speeds from B and 1 sec. to 1/200th, and I've been trying to find lens hoods and filters for it, but I need to find out if it has a filter thread and if so what size it is. I think it could be 17mm, I'll find out when the sky 1A filter I found on "that auction site" (they don't pay me to advertise, lol), turns up. I nearly forgot to add that 24mmx24mm Taxona cameras have exactly the same 35mm lens range as the Altix III, so maybe they can be on the same cameras??

      Hi, unfortunately I don't know if these cameras have the same lens mount.

    • @seanperry8803
      @seanperry8803 Рік тому

      @@smilecamera1495 It didn't occur to me that the Altix III and Altix IIIA HAD to have different lens mounts because the lens on the IIIA has to cover 24x36mm so the mount has to be bigger to allow the wider coverage. I'm an idiot, lol. Anyway, I've been trying to find out if the Zeiss Ikon Taxona has interchangeable lenses, but I can't find any mention yet.

  • @seanperry8803
    @seanperry8803 Рік тому

    This could be a bit of a blind alley as far take-up spools go, but Zeiss Ikon made the Taxona cameras which were 35mm but gave 24mmx24mm negatives, and it seems that they can take any spool from any zeiss ikon 35mm camera so perhaps the Altix 3 can also take zeiss ikon 35mm take-up spools??

    The batteries are mercury 625 at 1.35v so a total of 4 volts, and due to the mercury you can't buy them anymore. There are replacement that will fit but are 1.5v, and the needed 3 equal 4.5 volts that could damage the camera electronics. Wein Air batteries are 1.3 volts, but have heard from a number of camera forum users that ones purchased were very old and not working. There is a device that drops a 1.5v battery voltage to 1.3v and fits the size, but are expensive.

      Differences between the models were not confined to top shutter speeds. The key features of each camera were: Optima Sensor Electronic 335 - 40mm f/3.5 Agnatar lens with shutter speed from 1/30th to 1/300th. Optima Sensor Electronic 535 - 40mm f/2.8 Solitar single coated lens with shutter speeds from 15 seconds to 1/500th. Optima Sensor Electronic 1035 - 40mm f/2.8 Solitar multi coated lens with shutter speeds from 15 seconds to 1/1000th plus a self-timer. Optima Sensor Electronic 1535 - like the 1035 but with a coupled rangefinder , and without self-timer. Optima Sensor Electronic Flash. Optima Sensor Electronic (no number) - like a 535.

    Hey! I just found this camera in my grandparents basement and seems to be missing the film spool for it. Do you happen to know where i can find the exact one that the camera needs? I've bought standard 35mm film spools online but it does not fit... THANKS!!!!

      Hey ;) If it comes to the take-up spool, it is rather only from a damaged piece, if yours does not have one. The new film should match the standard 135 type film.

    • @1963TOMB
      @1963TOMB 2 роки тому

      @@smilecamera1495 The original batteries were MR9s: these are now obsolete as they contain mercury (banned in Europe in 1992). Using PX625a (alkaline) means that the voltage will change over time changing the performance of the light sensor. Better to use SR44 with a constant total voltage of 4.65V rather than 4.05V of the originals and adjust the film speed setting to compensate. Shame that this basic but vital knowledge is not in the video.

      Hi! I would start by checking the battery. Next step - nobody accidentally open the camera? Failed photos are overexposed or blank? Maybe you took the middle photos indoors and it was too dark, and the first and last photos near the window / outside?
