I'd tend to agree overall, yes! I'd just add that I think Latin America is kind of the MORE accepting of dating foreigners as long as they're assimilating... because historically we are mixed. Especially Paraguay where we're like 90% Mestizo... mostly native and European but also a tiny percent African. But Paraguayan families for example are going to be more open to having their daughters proceed w/ a foreigner compared to say a Romania or other E Europe societies... or some of the richer Asian societies where it's more taboo for long term dating/marriage. But that being said, even local Paraguayas are STILL going to prefer Paraguayos, and ppl of Paraguayan descent. Foreigners can bridge this gap the more time they assimilate and show they're here for the long run.

Paraguayans do have a thick accent and do mix in Guaraní quite a bit. But if they know you only speak Spanish they'll do their best to speak to you in Spanish. Guaraní itself is a difficult language, but locals will want to teach you nearly every day you're here, especially if you get outside the "expat bubble" and mingle in the surrounding cities. Oh I feel you there! Other Latinos can be the worst especially when it comes to being "latino enough" or whatever. I gained respect over the years from different groups but they many different ethnicities can be very insular as well. And yeah the US is so big, every town, city, state and region is so different. So I definitely feel you! And I agree, and race can be discriminatory towards any other. And yeah absolutely, Paraguay is a great option to start over, "humble yourself" as you say, and live a nice peaceful life. I'm glad you're considering Paraguay!

@DirtyBird506 Absolutely my friend. I remember when I came here 13 years ago and one of the first things I had an utmost respect for were those who worked in construction. Especially for working in one of the hottest countries in the world. I have a profound respect for all of those who do the grueling work that make these homes possible. And those who build homes, roads, buildings, skyscrapers and everything else deserve the highest salaries and should be rewarded in every way possible. I appreciate the humble reminder and I need to dedicate a video or short at minimum to honor those who make these homes possible.

Hello! And no problem. Regarding Luque, it's one of the cities I know the least. But of what I do know... you're probably going to want to be closet to the city center of Luque, or possibly another bordering city. It's quite big. It's decent to live regarding location, but I just don't know enough people or have been there enough to know how it is on a daily basis. I guess one of the advantages would be it's close to the airport. Some locals say certain areas of Luque get bad flooding, but again, it's a huge area so it really goes neighborhood to neighborhood... kind of like everywhere in the greater Asunción Metro area.
