Dr Moeti, WHO Regional Director for Africa on the Africa Women Health Champions initiative
Launched in 2020, the Africa Women Health Champions initiative was part of the transformative agenda of Dr Matshidiso Moeti, WHO Regional Director for Africa to to reshape public health and gender equality across Africa. As of August 2024, WHO AFRO and UNV have worked together to empower more than 145 young African women from 38 nationalities as public health champions through the initiative. In this video message, Dr Matshidiso Moeti shares her reflections on this bold programme that is making important impact at WHO and public health in the region.

Haha, I can see everyone click send, I click send for UNV every week, Click send for FS4 & 5 every week, I tried cling a send for P just to try and see and I got 2 invitations for interview which was tough. I can see how competitive it is to get to UN but thank you for the advice and highlights.
