Hi @joehansonguitar and thanks for watching and subscribing. No, it's not a P90, it's a humbucker - DiMarzio DP259FBK Titan. I've modified the original P90 route to lower the PU more into the body so the dogear shape got carved into the wood. And had a two different P90 installed for some time. However, I didn't like them, so at some point in time I've modified the route to also take a humbucker, but it looked a bit weird initially. But after painting it black it looked pretty cool and unique. Honestly I'm quite happy to hear the optical illusion is working.

Thanks for your hint. What's the source of the noise, is there some kind of charge pump circuit built in? Though, I'm using it in my multi meter, and haven't noticed an issue so far.

I bought a pair to test. They use a boost regulator to get the 9.6v, very noisy DC ripple. Best look on a scope. I tried them in a vintage transistor radio, one hell of a noise.@@virizrugg4732

Have you confirmed this or are saying because of the general implementation of 3,7v lipo battery then badly stepped up to 9V?

@@virizrugg4732 I`m looking for information for guitar pedals and other audio equipment. Is this battery for instance 3 lipo batteries in series (11V) and then clean regulated to 9V or is it the dirty steped up to 9v?

@@virizrugg4732 They have a step up circuit which adds noise to the DC. Used in such as a vintage Radio the noise is very loud.
