torch is dragging on material?

I wonder if you could answer a question for me. I built a CNC table that I'm going to attach a plasma torch to. It has a z axis so I am going to need the floating switch touch off. I'm running an MKS DLC V2.1 control card. It has n stop connections for XYZ and also a probe connection. I'm wondering if I hook up the float switch to the probe or the Z axis end stop? There is documentation on the board but it's a bit confusing to me since I'm a first-timer to all of this stuff. If I do hook up a limit switch to the z access to set the torch light do I also need to set up a switch for the end stop or are they separate functions? Sorry if all of this sounds very obvious but I am brand new to all of it. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

would love to see more cnc router content. It looks like your CNC Router kits are the most complete and cost effective that I've seen. Especially for the large scale 4x8 or 5x10 machines.

When your part hangs off the sheet like that, when is the best time to align it? If you align it once and save it, won't it load correctly next time?
