Madeline Khan's "flames" monologue will always be the most iconic line from this movie.

"Not at all! Communism was just a red herring."

And, of course, when the movie DID come out on DVD, they just ran each ending one right after the other. Because it DIDN'T matter. There was no way they could set up one suspect over another because the producers would essentially need to refilm segments to LEAD to that confession, or essentially three separate films, and that wasn't going to happen. Compare that to William Castle's Dr Sardonicus, which ALSO tried the interactive gambit by having the audience vote whether the Doctor should be let free or be punished -- a "Punishment Poll." Castle CLAIMED that he filmed two different endings, but everyone always chose the option where the Doctor was punished, so they always went with that ending. But we're all pretty certain Castle only filmed one ending. After all, to film TWO endings and segue to them in some way would cost money, and Castle wasn't about to do that. Castle actually knew better than the producers of Clue. In the end, Clue had a great cast and some great lines, but as a mystery, it really does fall flat, in my opinion.

Clue is DEFINITELY one of my favourite films. The writing is quite brilliant! The acting extraordinary, the casting is PERFECT!!!!

He was actually in a mini series when he was younger called Centennial, but this is his first film as far as I know. I have to find a place to rent it so I can share it with my boys! 😂
