Series S is versatile asf

I got dev mode active and have gamecube, PS2, ps1, n64 games emulated. You can even run 360 games on an emulator that aren't backwards compatible

I got a series S and a ps5 its a grest combo to own especially since I run my S on i high performance 1080p monitor

Got one for GTA 6 as it never comes out on pc at launch

I bought used one 155$ in pristine condition very happy with it

Buying an* Xbox series s

Yeah I loved mine. Also bought to dip my toes after basically nothing being released on my PS5 and skipping the Xbox one. Was nice to get into some Xbox games, indie stuff, gamepass & Forza. Been used so much. Only have an X now as I ended up selling my S for £150 to a mate and paying an additional £150 to another to buy his lol. Couldn't turn it down.. had that not have happened though.. I'd still have my S!

What made me get a Series X instead, was on a youtube video that showed how the Series X has exceptionally improved graphic rendering on Starfield vs Series S. Usually you cant notice a difference but this quality was night and day. If you got the money, the Series X is a great investment for improved experience.

You know you could’ve bought the disc free version of the Xbox series X for $100 more dummy I mean, you could’ve spent $100 more if that gotten in 4K in overall better technology for your money and you probably could’ve gotten on sale. Why would you buy the series S when you could buy the digital version of the series X if you want a disc free console why would you ever buy the series S digital Xbox series X exist? like did you research before you bought this? Did you go online and see what else is available? Did you see that you could spend $100 or less on a better console if you didn’t want a this drive and you probably couldn’t. You probably could’ve gotten the one with the disc drive for cheaper than what you spent on the series says and just not use the disc drive like why would you ever get this? If you wanted a disc free console when you could’ve gotten the disc free Xbox series X, which is better than this in every single way.

Its ok for game pass. I bought mine a few years ago on sale for $230 and when the series x was hard to find. Its good for game pass games. I still rock my xbox one X tho!

Good video One thing I’ve noticed about today’s gamers is that there are a ton of people that think Xbox is some kind of Third World subpar console. The hardware is awesome .

I sold it because all I was using it for old games like left for dead and a bunch of 360 games .i have a ps5 and found myself playing it way more while the Xbox was just collecting dust

Instead of deleting games just get a external hdd or ssd and just transfer them over if your finished with a game.

Replaced my series x to s due lack of space in my apartment. Although i can see difference in graphics they are not that big of a difference. Also owning physical copies with x was frustrating due i had to download the games anyway. So all long story short I love series s a bit more due it's size and I'm totally ok with dowgraded graphics also

A tip for installing games if you don't want to pay for the storage card for the back of the console. You need the card to play current generation games. But you can buy a storage device much cheaper, and move games back and forth quickly from the console to the storage device. I don't do it because I've got the series X, but know a few with a series S who do that with a standard hard drive. You can play previous generation direct from a storage device, but the latest needs to be the card or the console. But like I said, it's quick to transfer back and forth. You could try sleep mode for turning the console on, it speeds things up.

If you wanna game, it's a great choice. You don't always need the absolute best hardware to enjoy gaming.

I am about to buy it second hand it will be my second consol the first was ps2 like 10 years ago I dont even remember it, I am so exited and I hope storage wont be problem for me (I was saving money for it for 1 month and finally I can buy now)

My cousin gave me his a year ago, the only problem I’ve got is storage, I’m looking to get a 1tb hdd then I’m good to go. Overall it’s an okay console for casual gamers who want the cheapest way to entering the next gen console space

I've had a series x for almost 3 years and Xbox still has it. Halo infinite is a great game. Doom is also a great game. The thing bought the series s is it plays the new games. So there's no downside. Indiana jones is a more demanding game but works on the series s. Also doom the dark ages will be a demanding game but also will work on the series s. Edit: I got a third party battery pack. You could just buy the offical one.

my mate got a series x because he's no internet, he had to call around to my house to set it up because it needs internet just to use it, but thats not the funny part.. he needed internet to install halo and a few other games from disc (wtf You need an internet connection to finish installing games from a disc?) so he end up trading it in for a PS5.. lol

Such a nice console sir I'm from india using german unit since last 3 years no repairation ever done even have my own 100 games library with most of the huge aaa titles plus now a true hard core xbox fan ❤😭😭

The series s is okay, but you’ll notice some stuttering here and there which is non existent in the series x

So you get a full media streaming box, a retro game box, a emulator, a console that can play next(now) gen games like: Cyberpunk 2077, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Flight Simulator 2024, Diablo IV, Baulders Gate 3, Starfield...etc, and up com ng games like Ninja Gaiden 4, Doom Dark Ages, Perfect Dark...etc ...all for £249 or less. What other system does that, esp at this price ?

Nice! I think with some new consoles you get a ridiculous amount of gamepass time. Like a year or more.

If you want a storage solution the 2TB Samsung T3 SSD shouldn't be too expensive. It will probably be more worth it than the internal SSD options you don't mind the fact that you cannot play the games directly off of it. And one good thing is the transfer speed is 2.4Gbs average but never drops below 2Gbs. For me I average transfers between 2.4 and 2.3Gbs.

How long it would be run games?

Regret getting an x over a s. Just for starfield😭. Probably would of kept a 2nd hand series s(nearly got-180) over a x I had. For gears and that. Just always had PlayStation and got a 2020 1650ti gaming laptop & switch. So weren’t willing to keep it, for occasional use.

I use my Series S for nothing but an emulation device. Its amazing for emulation with dev mode

Xbox Series S is fine even in 2025, if you are not bothered about physical disc. Want something just to play video games at FHD resolution, and you just have an FHD television. Quick Resume is just a great feature on Xbox Series consoles. Only recently started to use a cloud video gaming service, I chose Amazon Luna. Because I already have Prime, and most days it runs without any issues of lag at all. And that's on WiFi 5 GHz band. On the occasion that lag is present it is almost always a minor issue.

You'll soon discover the battery life is great compared to the PlayStation controller. I hope they don't get rid of the AA batteries option because I've been using the same set of rechargeable batteries for about 6 years now. I have two charging while I have two in the controller, and I get a couple of days worth of battery life out of each charge.

I never had an Xbox before; this little box was my first Xbox console, and oh boy, it was worth every penny. I bought it on sale in November 2023 for 200 euros, new, with 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate. I also have a PS4. I have already played Dead Space Remake, Alan Wake 2, Hellblade 2, A Plague Tale: Requiem-all current-gen games-and the console never disappointed me. It doesn’t have the power of a PS5 or Xbox Series X, the games I mentioned only have a 30fps mode on Series S but it doesn’t bother me. I only have a 1080p monitor, and for me, the Series S is more than enough. Fun is the most important thing! There are a few things I love about this console that weren’t available in the last gen: Quick Resume (for people like me who only play single-player games, this is a must-have- I can turn off my console, unplug it, and when I turn it back on, I can pick up right where I left off in seconds), loading times (thanks to the SSD speed), and last but not least, the thing that, for me, was the biggest improvement: 3D audio. Just buy Dolby Atmos for headphones-it’s so good, it feels like I’m inside the game. The 3D audio is phenomenal compared to the standard stereo sound we had in the last gen.

Works great in my portable game enclosure, use my X otherwise.
