Easy Spinach Soup
Переглядів 51 тис.7 років тому
Super easy and quick! Saute 1/2 onion (diced) in some butter Add a couple cloves of garlic (minced) 4 cups of broth (veg or chicken) 4 handfuls of fresh spinach 1/2 cup of heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper and Enjoy! If you'd like this soup a little on the thicker side, stir in about 1/4 cup of flour to the onions/garlic before adding the broth.

    You don't think using an apple corer, a vegetable/potato peeler, and then cutting apples might be easier? I core, then flick away peel into my sink and then slice. Can even put your thumb into hole where core used to be to hold it during peeling. I hate extra work because I have an apple tree that gives me a lot of work every harvest! LOL I'm also fond of using light brown sugar instead of the white. Looks yummy though.

    Bridget I must tell you that this is THE ONLY Apple pie recipe that I have used for the last six years. It has never failed me and everyone I’ve shared the COUNTLESS pies I’ve made has been equally as in love. You absolutely nailed it with this recipe! I use a staymen apple and it’s just the perfect amount of sweetness. Perfect!

    Hi Bridget. My lovely bride requested stuffed pork chops for dinner. I usually use stove top stuffing but I seen a recipe on UA-cam for apple stuffed chops. The apple stuffing is exactly the same as apple pie filling except you add onions in with the apples. I didn't want to use canned apple filling so I jumped on-line and chose your recipe. Just needed to add the onions. Good recipe! Very easy. Loved your 1st time video. YOU GO GURL! I will follow your future posts. Thank you.

    What temperature for a full pie please

    • @bridgetl5218
      @bridgetl5218 2 роки тому

      That temperature depends on your crust. I've always found you can't go wrong with 350. But definitely keep an eye on it -- cover the edges of the crust with foil if they appear to be getting too dark.

      My mother never used her potato/veg peeler to do her apples either. I could not understand why she would carve away so much apple with using a paring knife. I always go for the fastest and easiest way with a corer and then veg peeler before cutting into slices or cubes because I do not want any extra work (lazy). Just flick peels away from you into the sink and then scoop up to dispose of it.

      @@bridgetl5218 Ohhh I C. Lol Thank you for sharing video. Trying it this weekend. I have a question if you don't mind. Can I use that Apple filling In a pie crust? After it cools down? Would that change the time I cook it in oven? I read 425 for 15 minutes then 375 for 35 minutes. Does that sound right? Thanks 😊 Take care & GOD Bless..

    • @bridgetl5218
      @bridgetl5218 3 роки тому

      You can use flour in place of corn starch. I don't recommend extra sugar. It's plenty sweet as is and the sugar isn't a thickener. Thanks for the question!
