Our business was founded in 2007 in Gordonville, Pennsylvania. Here at Sunrise Stables, we strive to consistently maintain a clean, safe environment for your horse. We currently keep around 35 horses in training. We are a full service horse training facility specializing in starting and developing quality young Morgan horses. We have had the privilege of starting and selling a number of young horses that have gone on to win on the national level. In addition to our other services, we offer marketing for select quality horses. I owned and rode an American Saddlebred mare for 30+ years. She was 2 when I got her; I was 16. We grew up together. She was the first ride for each of my 3 daughters in the 80s and 90s. I never showed her--we were in Quarter Horse Country, but we put miles and miles in on the trails. This guy looks so much like her.
Well. I feel like an idiot. I see you guys are are Morgan stable. Your horses are beautiful. One of my daughters' horse was a Lippett horse and looke much draftier than your beauties.

Why does the horse have a short tail??
The skirt of this pony’s tail has been braided, tied up and bagged. It will be periodically taken down, brushed out and examined. The less tail hair is handled prevents breakage. A long beautiful tail is the sign of a well tended show horse.

What is on the horse’s hoof???
A protective boot it wears in case the horse over steps with a hind foot. Keeps them from stepping on the bulbs of the front heel.

He’s my favorite... I can see him putting on more muscle getting smoother, would love to see him go full out running! You’ve done a great job with him, classic way of going, I think still versatile enough to lots of different types of riding too.

They are lightweight chains that jingle to encourage them to pick up their feet and be more animated. They weight just a few ounces, much less than a tennis shoe on a human foot.
