The mysterious start to the video reflects the questions their fans had about where they might take their sound on their third album, Electric, which turned out to be more in the style of hard rock than the music on their prior album. The guitar riff that kicks off "Love Removal Machine" sounded like AC/DC and the "baby, baby, baby, baby" scream during one of the breaks sounded like Led Zeppelin. Here are a few songs to get you started with those bands. Whenever I hear this, I am in my boss"s purple 72 "Cuda" pushing in the 8 track tape.
This is really a great song, one of the best in my opinion, and reflects emotions that many of ABBA's listeners have had themselves in the difficult thing we call 'a relatiuonship'.
ABBA was my firts group i adored sen they start 1974 sorry for my spelling
She’s something else!
Sweet! Rather bittersweet. That guitar lick is classic. Grenadine is a mildly sweet syrup used in making cocktails. It is typically red in color, about the same shade of red as the checkerboard shirt worn by the goofy character on the record artwork. The song tells a story about a family of moonshiners from the perspective of one of the sons. Moonshine is slang for illegal homemade hard liquor -- "Daddy made whiskey and he made it well \ Cost two dollars and it burned like hell" The bridge of the song relates that his mother died during a snow storm when the roof caved in on her and his father took her loss so hard it changed him forever, hence the bitter-sweetness in the song. As I wrote before, the Grateful Dead wrote many songs about mortality. But I mention that again here to point you to a brand new song released just yesterday by Willie Nelson at 91 years old. The song is a cover of song by The Flaming Lips that also celebrates the life of missing loved ones. It's a wonderful song. And a reaction to it might help to get your channel some attention from the UA-cam algorithm (and thus more people). Do You Realize?? · Willie Nelson (2024) ua-cam.com/video/_RTAbAjfTes/v-deo.html
Classic. "Honky Tonk Women" is one of the first Rolling Stones that I remember hearing on the radio when I was a little kid circa 1970. The intro, with the cowbell and the open guitar chords, caught my ear back then. And while most of the lyrics flew over my head at the time, the line about blowing his nose caught my attention because it was something a child could relate to. It was only years later that I came to see that line as a reference to cocaine. That is, "she blew my nose" meant, she supplied him with some powdered cocaine for him to snort, perhaps to keep him from passing out from all the alcohol he was drinking in a futile effort to drown his blues. The singer in the song is heartbroken and trying to forget his pain through liquor and women. In this song The Rolling Stones were drawing on the work of Hank Williams, a legendary singer songwriter who more or less laid the foundation for a lot of music that followed after him, including the music of the Grateful Dead. Here are a few of his "honky tonk" songs for you to also check out when you can. Thanks! “….and it looks like the O’l man’s getting on “..(me) RIP Jerry I still miss you so…..! ☮️
I couldn't stand this song when I was a young kid. Now I'm old and nostalgic and love it haha...
Woow REALLY That sounds so nice....The fact that you still listen to the same song till now looks beautiful😊🤗
Deep catalogue with the stones! This is their prime, late 60s early 70s
Totally awesome choice!!! Very hard to go wrong with The Rolling Stones. Probably the second greatest rock band to Led Zeppelin. Maybe The Who comes in third. At least if we are talking classic rock bands.
A "honky tonk" is slang here for a sort of low-down, country style, often times disreputable bar or club....by the way.
Probably an under-appreciated band. There was so many great bands at the time. Good reaction. If you two could do "Remedy", by the Black Crows (official video), or "Long, Long Time" by Linda Ronstadt (live, on the Johnny Cash Show), it would be awesome. It would make me very happy. :)
Here is a song you may like. It's called "Bird Song" ua-cam.com/video/6p9y6Pkn_g0/v-deo.htmlsi=59rAlAT4f5rdIPb-&t=1106 - written as a tribute to Janis Joplin
One of my favorit cult song❤❤❤❤❤❤🔥👩
WOOW...Thank you for watching🤗❤️❤️

Absolutely❤️😍
This band has more history and depth of music than any other band i know of.
5/7/77 Terrapin Station Grateful Dead live concert It's long but that's what the dead do best. They take you on a journey it's not just a song.
My favorite ABBA Song
WOOW... Thank you so much for watching😍❤️
Love Queen!! You should check out Journey your kind of music I think!
Don't believe everything you see in the movies. I've come to learn that the type of people who dominant Hollywood tend not to be very reliable historians. It's a strange form of virtue-signaling to play up tragedies - to gas light the audience - just to make one feel good about oneself. Is slavery evil? Yes. Did it go down the way Hollywood would have you believe? I doubt it.
I am glad that you like this..The harmonies were done by their fellas (not the fellas..I think at this point, they were 2 couples) NO AUTOTUNE involved..That in itself is extra special..I think that ABBA are the best band ever, quality, production and emotion..top mix❤❤❤❤
No, I have no idea what he is talking about...."burning down the house". I have been listening to this tune for many years (Original by The Talking Heads), and I still don't know. I just love the song. Thanx for taking another suggestion from me. You two are very charming. :)
Englishmen who sound like Americans when they play! Not Mr. Jagger’s English accent, of course, but the music, pedal steel guitar, and the country harmonizing. “Dead Flowers” and “Wild Horses” are other country-style songs of theirs. Great job, and thank you!
Hello, would you like to react to Tarzan The Fearless 1933?
Yes ...Sure...We will check on it Soon...Just stay tuned🤗
This is about just living in the moment.cause once you do anything it’s done and you must continue to move forward with care and help our brothers and sisters move forward together plus it’s a great song. ⚡️🎸⚡️
oooh woow this is a great insight about the song ...I can now understand it so well ....Thank you so much, This was so helpful🤗
Before the group's participation in Melodifestivalen 1974, the group chose between the two newly recorded songs "Hasta Mañana" and "Waterloo". However, they finally chose "Waterloo" and that decision became the beginning of a historic success story! I want to recommend "Hasta Manana" which I have always liked! Greetings from Sweden!🌞
OOH Woow Waterloo is such a great history but am so exited too about Hasta Hanana... I will check into it ASAP...just stay tuned😊❤️

haha really?😁😁
I believe Luther Vandross is one of his backup singers 😊
okey ...I agree with you on that😊
It made me very happy to see you enjoying this song, so simple, but so happy, so youthful... In a second there were 6: Vicky, Benny, Frida, Agnetha, Björn and Peter😅, smiling and singing... Great video guys I hope to see you very soon, with more 🅰️🅱️🅱️🅰️... See ya ✌️ Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱 🤗 😘 👍
Thank you so much for recognizing us in this video...We do appreciate that you enjoyed the video as well...welcome again to more of ABBA reactions and more other reactions ..Thank you once more🤗🙏...see you soon, much love from Kenya🥰❤️
Thank you very much for posting this video!!
Glad it was helpful!🤗😊my pleasure
Greetings from 🏴 good work girl 🎉 may your god be with you❤
Thank you so much for your compliment🙏😊! You too!...I appreciate your support🥰
Love the Stones and this song but this version leaves a lot to be desired. Jagger hamming it up for the video makes it more a parody of country music while the album take is heartfelt, sincere and far superior.
oooh Yeah i totally agree with you on that ....Thank you so much for your insight🤗🥰
So glad to see You, pleasantly surprised of this ABBA song "Bang a boomerang" (1975) it is so nice and powerful in the fantastic voices of Agnetha & Frida It was a single only in France Belgium Norway Australia "Bang a Boomerang" was composed by Björn & Benny for other artists to the Melodiefestivalen 1975 in Sweden (the previous to Eurovision) that is why the song is only under three minutes, by Eurovision rules (as "Ring Ring" in 1973 and "Waterloo" in 1974) It's finally in third place and after these ABBA recording this version, that is amazing! The video was made in Stockholm on a windy day in April 1975 in 2 days ABBA made videos for 4 songs from your third album, just tittled "ABBA": "Bang a Boomerang" "I do I do I do I do I do" "Mamma mia" "S.O.S." (the only of these recorded before in August 1974) these song is happy, to enjoy, with lyrics about pure love is one of my favourites in the self title album "ABBA" wich is one of my favourites ABBA albums too My best regards to You from my city and country Buenos Aires, Argentina South América GOD bless You PS: several images of this video were taken in the compilation for the official video of ABBA's comeback in "I still have faith in You"
Such a badly butchered version of this song. I would agree that this band was so far ahead of their time, and so, so underappreciated today.
Yes I totally agree that too with you
This is perhaps one of ABBA's rockiest songs... The girls singing together and the boys on backing vocals... really nice! So good to see you again, Vicky & Peter ✌️ Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗😘👍
yes That was really beautiful ..we really enjoyed this song so much😊thank you for tuning in 🤗🥰much love to youu❤️
here is a song you should listen to - a traditional ballad they used to play; "Peggy-O (Femarrio)" - enjoy ua-cam.com/video/tCgxjFvCU9o/v-deo.htmlsi=B552O27wpWr-1h2b
Make sure you also watch ABBA live Wembley and Sidney, so powerful and good. Also worth seeing and hearing ABBA in Japan 1978 “if it wasn't for the night” “the name of the game” and more Also perfect “Kisses Of Fire, Lovers Live A Little Longer (Live Switzerland '79)
Absolutely, We promise to check them out! ABBA’s live performances are legendary, and it sounds like we are missing out on some amazing moments. Thanks for the recommendation-sending lots of love for your passion for their music! We Can’t wait to dive into those concerts! 💖✨Much Love ❤️❤️
This is such a beautiful record ❤ You must do, The day before you came, it's a hauntingly beautiful masterpiece.
That’s awesome! "The Day Before You Came" is such a haunting masterpiece. I’m glad we’ve already reacted to it! If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out using the link below. Sending love for your great taste in music! ❤️ ua-cam.com/video/CaZzmJh40w8/v-deo.html
Thanks for reacting to my suggestion. 😊It's said that Björn was inspired by the book 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull' when he wrote the lyrics for the song.
Thanks for sharing that insight! 😊 It’s fascinating how literature can inspire music. Björn’s lyrics truly capture a sense of freedom and adventure, much like the story of "Jonathan Livingston Seagull." It’s amazing to see how such themes resonate in their songs. The depth in their music really reflects their creativity and connection to broader ideas. We love hearing these connections and appreciate your enthusiasm for ABBA’s work! Keep the great insights coming!
Majestic adventurous anthem/suggestion and choice of THIS clip! The perfect video(even fan made) to match the original ultimate version.
Hello to you. I am very happy to have seen this video again and delighted to know that you enjoyed it. The Stray Cats were a great rock band, especially on stage.
Our pleasure!
Hello! We’re happy you enjoyed the video! The Stray Cats truly brought something special to the stage with their rockabilly style. Their energy is always infectious!
"Eagle" (1977) is ABBA's longest song, almost six minutes It is the opening track of their fifth album, titled “ABBA The Album” (1977), which coincides with the release and premiere of their film ABBA The Movie” (1977), which records ABBA's memorable tour of Australia and all the ABBAmania unleashed there (the scenes we see in this unofficial video are taken from the film "ABBA The Movie") "Eagle" was released as a single in some countries, it is a shame that it did not have the opportunity to be the third single from "The Album" in the United Kingdom. (followed by "The Name of the Game" and "Take a Chance on Me") Back to "ABBA The Album" After the spectacular worldwide success with "Dancing Queen" and their album "Arrival" came this more versatile album with more experimental music, with more elaborate and profound lyrics, all the songs are of different genres, different from each other, fantastic, for me. It is their best album It includes the great hit "Take a chance on me", the beautiful ballad "One man one woman" the mystical "Move on", (you have already made these songs) and you still have to listen to the rocker "Hole in your soul" (I hope it is the next one, the live version at Wembley 1979 is unmissable) and the mini musical with the classic "Thank you for the music", and its continuations the dramatic ballad "I wonder (departure)" and the colossal "I'm a marionette" Every song is a must! They are all complete masterpieces. A bit of background All these songs were recorded after ABBA returned from their tour of Europe and Australia and by then the blonde Agnetha was already pregnant with her second child (so she recorded the nine songs, some with great physical difficulty) See you next time Best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina South America
Thanks for the fantastic insights on ABBA's "The Album," Eagle! Your passion for their music really shines through. "Eagle" is such a gem, and it’s a shame it didn’t get more recognition as a single in the UK. I agree that this album showcases their versatility and lyrical depth-each track is a masterpiece in its own right! The background info about Agnetha adds even more context to the album’s creation. We appreciate your loyalty and love for the music! Keep those recommendations coming! Much Love From Nairobi , Kenya ! 🎶❤️
Could you try react to the Norwegian national treasure Sissel Kyrkjebø performing "Unchained Melody"? She is considered one of the world's top crossover sopranos and performed the vocals in the Titanic movie. Her voice is amazing, you will be amazed.
That sounds like a fantastic idea! we’ve heard great things about Sissel Kyrkjebø’s talent, and we will excited to hear her version of "Unchained Melody." we are sure her voice will be stunning. Thanks for the tip!🤗🤗
@@vp8reacts Thanks!
It's a great party song from back in the day, something I was around for at the time 😊🎉
OOOH Really...That sounds nice.. Thank you so much for your insight🤗😊
I love this song. Great vocals by Agnetha and the backing vocals are superb. Love the lyrics too. They have a Spanish version of this song which is also outstanding with the main difference being there is no spoken introduction by Bjorn, Agnetha sings all 3 versus.
Absolutely! Agnetha’s vocals are just mesmerizing! 💖 The way the backing harmonies come together is pure magic. I totally agree-the Spanish version is fantastic too! It's interesting how the lack of Bjorn's intro shifts the vibe, but Agnetha truly shines through all three verses! 🎶✨ We will definitely check out the Spanish version you mentioned. Thanks for the recommendation! We can’t wait to hear her magic in a different language!
"Annie laid her head down in the roses..." -- A few things to note about roses, if you're not familiar with the flower, is that they come with thorns. They smell really nice, and they look nice, and they make good decorations. But most people typically do not lay their heads into them because of their thorns. So the picture the song paints with the metaphor of laying down in roses suggests a funeral or memorial of some sort. Mortality is a theme that runs throughout the Grateful Dead's music. For another taste, check out "Brown Eyed Women" from 1972. Brown Eyed Women-Grateful Dead (Europe '72) ua-cam.com/video/4PekdeINQco/v-deo.html
Oooh Woow ..this is so nice ,I can now understand the song better.. Thank you so much for your insight ,We will gladly check on your recommendation soon.. We would like to explore more of this🤗
Hi there !
Hello there! Welcome
Did you know Freddie can sing opera? One of his best songs is Barcelona, with Montserrat Caballe. Opera and rock and roll combined.
Great point! The mix of Freddie's rock vocals with Montserrat's operatic style really makes "Barcelona" something special. It’s such a powerful fusion!
One of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE performances, THANK YOUUUU!!😍
Awh! Welcome 🤗We are Glad You Enjoyed 🤗Much Love ❤️❤️
