I'm not a Star Wars fan in any way really but this popped up on my feed. Yeah, I stopped after the first two episodes because of how bad it was and Leia in particular. The casting was awful because the little girl can't act but even of she could they hired a girl that looks, talks and moves EXACTLY like a 4yo. It was a really bizarre choice and I have to agree that it was likely done for "cuteness"...stupidly. If you want a 5yo, just cast a 5yo. When she says she is 10yo in episode 2 I assumed she was lying. I assumed the next line would be Obi Wan saying "Nice try, you can't be older than 6yo" lol. The way she runs is exactly like that of a 4yo. It's wild that she's supposed to be 10yo. So Leia is just bad and I'm ignoring the stuff that conflicts with lore because I don't really care or know that much about it. Also, Revi (Reva?) is poorly acted. That actress was really good in Queen's Gambit! I see why they hired her but she's bad in this. High School production level of acting from her in this show. Just a bad show. Not a huge deal but surprising how badly Disney has blown it with the IP.

Ah, the Luke-Leia split at birth. Lucas kind of wrote himself into a corner by including this in ROTJ. He did his best to set this up in the prequels by making the place where Luke lived the same place Anakin experienced the most traumatic moment in life: his mother's death and burial. Vader would likely never return to Anakin Skywalker's old home. Vader resides on Mustafar now. Leia gets the regal life benefits as well as the dangers that come from it, like getting kidnapped and ransom'd I guess. Luke lives a quiet life away from the Empire under the careful watch of a Jedi Master. It made sense when it was left alone. But when you show troops and inqusitors marching through Mos Eisley and Kenobi leaving Luke alone, it falls apart. We can blame Yoda in ROTS for Luke's working poor life but in the end we can blame Disney for the fuckery that happened in between the movies.
